"The Time limit of the competition is 15 minutes!! The point value of each group's headbands is worth the total accumulation of each of the team's members. And the one to wear the headband will be the rider of the warhorse. Until the time is up you'll be fighting and stealing each other's headbands. Even if you lose your headband or crumble as horse, you're still in the game. But if you crumble a team on purpose, you'll be disqualified immediately." Midnight explained.
[3 minutes later]
"Okay...all we need is a fourth member." Ken stated to his team mates, Tokio and Itsuka.
"How about that guy?" Tokio asked as he pointed towards a certain purple haired boy.
"Wait, isn't that the guy who picked a fight with us two weeks ago?" Itsuka asked.
"Yeah so?" Tokio replied. "The dude seems to be looking for team mates too, why not just invite him over?"
"I don't know, man. I picked a fight with him too..." Ken replied.
"Then lets tempt him." Tokio suggested.
"How do you you suggest we do that?" Itsuka inquired.
"Leave that to me." Tokio replied with a smirk.
[With said purple haired boy]
"Yo." Tokio greeted as he approached the boy.
"What do you want?" The boy inquired, clearly not happy about the fact that a class A student approached him.
"Want to team up?" Tokio asked as he offered his hand.
The purple haired boy immediately swats his hand away. His answer was clear as crystal. No.
"Come on, man. I know you're desperate. You're looking for people with good quirks aren't you?" Tokio pleaded.
"And what do I get from joining you? You don't even know what my quirk is." the boy replied.
"Your quirk allows you to control people, right?" Tokio replied surprising the boy. "Don't be so surprised. I saw you use it. With a quirk like yours, my team will have much higher chances of winning and we all get to advance."
"And who are the rest of members of your team?
Tokio simply points towards Ken and Itsuka making the boy glare at him.
"I know, Ken was kind of a jerk that day. But come on, even you know if you teamed up with Ken, your chance of advancing to the final competition is very high." Tokio pointed out.
The boy couldn't argue with that. Even if he hated Ken's guts, he had to admit that Ken did have a really impressive quirk and if he joined his team, he was sure to advance to the final round. Without seeing any reason to turn down this golden opportunity, the boy accepts Tokio's proposal.
"Know this, I'm not joining you 'cus I'm desperate or something. I just want to win this more than anything and make it to the hero course. If anything, I'm using you." the boy replied.
"Sure. By the way, I didn't get your name." Tokio replied.
"Hitoshi Shinso."
"Ya know, Shinso. When I saw your quirk in action at the start of the obstacle race, I thought it was really cool." Tokio stated, surprising Shinso.
"You did?"
"Yeah. I mean with a quirk like that, you don't even need to fight villains in order to arrest them. I kinda wish I had it. I wouldn't have to threaten the bad guys with my sword all the time." Tokio replied.
"You're a swordsman?" Shinso asked, finding that revelation really awesome. "Why not use it in the competition?"
"The hero course is not allowed to use any support items to make things fair for everyone else. Ken is an exception to that rule since he needs his watch to use his quirk. Plus, I don't want to accidently give lethal injuries to the others." Tokio replied.
