She didn't have anyone to comfort her, So she comforted herself. She didn't have anyone who cared, So she became the one for herself.
She always felt unworthy, She tried to feel worthy, She tried, she really tried; But maybe she wasn't trying hard enough, Or maybe at last she was Not worth it.
Outside she was showing the world she could do it herself, She was enough and needed no one, But deep inside she was just praying for someone, A someone who would finally understand, Someone who would always hold her hand, Someone who make sure she reached home safe, Someone who would hold her in sleep, because he knows she has nightmares, Just someone who cares.
But for now it was just her. Dreaming of him, in the state of her mind so blur.
