16 . stan the 'man'

"Kyle? Cartman? What the fuck? "
Stan had seen the two hold hands before yet saw through it instantly. The fake dating scheme was so basic and predictable. But could it be genuine?
Cartmans gaze shifted quickly to stans shocked face and quickly let go of kyles waist.

Kyle crossed his arms before telling Stan to leave his nose out of it all and dragged eric by the hand into the chemistry class.

"Now, when you turn the gas tap on, you mustn't leave it on for too long we have to keep oxygen in the atmosphere-"

Stan tapped his fingers lightly on his notebook. He hadn't really had a proper reason to be upset at them but to be honest, he really missed kyle. It had been eating at his brain since the day he left and it felt like this incident wouldn't really get them to be friends again. Especially with the way kyle told him to stick his nose out his business.
Stans worried look caught Wendy's attention

"Stan? Is everything alright? "
She whispered, resting her hand on stans, stopping his frantic tapping
"I-" he sighed. As much as he wanted to tell wendy, he didn't want to admit it was his fault for losing his best friend in the whole world in the first place.
"It's nothing. I'm fine"
Wendy obviously didn't take that as an answer
"Babe. You're obviously not fine. You've been staring at kyle all lesson. What's up? Really? "

Wow. Was it really that obvious? Or was wendy just insanely good at reading people. Stan decided to spill anyways
"I miss kyle. It was my fault for dropping him and now he 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 me." The last part came out as a bit of a cry.
"And then I saw him and cartman making out and kyle told me it was none of my business. I just- I don't know what to do. Everythings changed and I just want it all to go back to the way it was before. "

"Oh stan. You know change is necessary in life! It's a part of evolution! "
"But wendy, I don't want it to change. I want my super best friend back. "
"Well then, why don't you just admit you were wrong? Apologize and try to make things right again. Okay? "
Stan just nodded and decided to ask to partner up with kyle for the practical.
"Hey, kyle?" Kyle looked up, furrowing his brows in confusion

"Oh. Stan. Hey. "
"Can we partner up for the practical? " Stan asked quietly, his finger tapping lightly again
"Oh. Uhm... " Kyle turned to cartman and he nodded and partnered with some other kid idc

Wendy stood with Bebe as she set up the apparatus
"How come stans friends with kyle again ? I thought they swore to never talk to each other again ? " Bebe asked.
Kyle and Stan stood uncomfortably, both unsure what to talk about.
"I wouldn't say they're 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴. Stan was all upset over kyle and cartman being together. But I can tell he's really trying to fix things" Wendy leaned in to tell bebe, not wanting anyone else to hear her.

"Kyle ? And cartman ? Together? " Bebe asked, slightly exited but a bit confused

"Yep.and I wouldn't doubt it in the slightest"

Stan and kyle exchanged awkward glances every now and then, kyle wrote down his examinations and let Stan copy but none of them could muster a proper conversation.

Bebe isn't really good at keeping secrets. Especially when it includes two guys shes known since kindergarten.

At first it was just red. Then Nichole was told about it too. Then izzy. And teresa. and Annie. And Heidi. soon enough, her entire friend group had found out and more and more people were finding out as the day went on
Fucking Bebe.

*next day*
Cartman woke up to his cat meowing frantically at the window
"Jesus fucking Christ its 5 am " he muttered, unplugging his phone and texting kyle to see if he was available

Cartman got dressed and took some money from his savings and put it in his wallet. He brushed his hair and teeth and put on his favourite Cologne and texted kyle again. It was their first date and cartman was obviously shitting himself.

Kyle was picking out a jacket when Ike waltzed into his room
"Um... Can I help you? " Kyle asked, looking behind him
"Where you going? " Ike asked,smirking with his hands behind his back and shifting from side to side slightly.
Kyle decided on a jacket and took it off it's hanger
"Hanging out with my friend. You should try finding friends for once" Kyle snapped back

"For your information, I have WAY more friends than you. You have like 2 friends ." Ike replied, crossing his arms
"Which you hanging out with anyway? STAN? "

"No, Cartman. And I'm not friends with Stan anymore so shut up. "
"Hanging out with cartman now, huh? " Ike grinned like he knew everything.
Kyle just furrowed his brows and pushed him out of the way, taking his phone and leaving

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵?
Kyle thought as he opened his front door and messaged Eric.
As he unlocked his car door and turned the ac on, he noticed Ike staring at him through the window. What a strange kid.

He only had to drive for a few seconds before reaching cartmans house. He texted him to let him know.
"Don't text and drive, kahl" Eric said as he opened the passenger door and sat down.
"Nice hair" Kyle ruffled his hand through cartmans hair causing him to wince and messing it up again
"Kahl! "

*at the mall*
The boys walked into the mall and decided to go get something to eat first

"You want kfc? At 10 in the morning ? " kyle questioned, really wanting some waffles

The two finally decided to just get waffles and sat down at a booth by a window.

Kyle checked his phone for messages when he noticed Stan had unblocked him
𝘏𝘶𝘩? 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘮𝘦?
Stan hadn't messaged Kyle at all yet but it was still weird for Stan to unblock him.

"Kyle? What would you like? " cartman asked, grabbing his attention
Kyle looked around to see a slightly irritated waiter and a (surprisingly) patient cartman

"Uhm.. Just a waffle with whipped cream, please"
"Okay. Anything to drink?"
"Just a coffee"
"Same"
