Catch-22, HAECHAN

the traits of Cherry's future man

1. (not an ick, but important) has to be smoking HOT!!!!!!
Haechan smirks. That, he already is. Next.

2. neat. messy guys ✗✗✗
Haechan is pretty neat. He stays behind after every practice to clean the locker room. It pisses him off that his teammates are seemingly incapable of helping out, but even when they do, Haechan would rather do everything on his own because they never do it right. Jokes on him, really.

3. taller than me (AT LEAST 10CM)
Chaerin only reaches up to below his shoulders, which means he's already tall enough. If she needs him to be even taller, hell, he'll even wear heels for her.

4. always on time. NO EXCUSES.
Haechan has never been late to a single class. Ever.

5. has good hygiene
Haechan has great hygiene. He cuts his nails every week. He also changes his socks after every wear, something some people (read: Mark) don't do. Too easy. Next.

6. uses chapstick
Cherry-flavoured. His favourite.

7. doesn't talk in a baby voice (important)
Haechan scoffs. He only ever does it to annoy his roommate, but never unironically— he's not Jaemin. It'll work.

8. doesn't mansplain
Chaerin is smarter than him in every way, shape, and form. He couldn't mansplain shit to her even if he tried.

9. has good style (ie. doesn't wear flip-flops out)

"What's wrong with flip-flops?" Haechan questions, almost defensive.

"Everything! If you're going to the convenience store, or the mailbox, that's fine, I guess... but I don't wanna see your dirty dogs if we're out on a date!" Chaerin huffs.

He shrugs. "Fair."

10. loves me for me.

Chaerin stalls before writing the last point. Donghyuck looks up, just in time to see her click her pen, and their eyes meet. For some reason, it's awkward.

Of course, she's aware of how ridiculous her list is. It is done on purpose, after all. Ko Chaerin doesn't believe in love, and doesn't intend to.

There is no way Donghyuck would be able to help her find her ideal man just based off this list.

"There." She clears her throat, pushing the paper towards him. "Ten traits."

He accepts the notepad, his eyes running through the pointers again, as though he wasn't already reading off it as she was writing earlier.

"Well, Cherry." Donghyuck smirks as pushes the notebook back to her. "Let's go find you your dream boy."

This is a spin-off to Supernerd! featuring our beloved bickering duo, Lee Donghyuck and Ko Chaerin. You do not need to read the first book to understand this one but references will be made here and there. This book does not take place in the same universe as Supernerd! where Mark is Spider-Man, but the characters and their storylines are more or less the same (think of it as a Supernerd! AU).
