King Dedede acts a bit flippant about his Waddle Dees, but he supposes that they're like his children in a way. Only Bandana Dee is the closest he has to a son, though, and he treats Adeline and Ribbon as nieces.
Meta Knight secretly considers his knights (all six of them) and Sailor Dee to be like children to him. Despite how seldom he shows it, they all consider him to be their father figure at the least, and he's used to getting father's days presents.
Both Dedede and Meta Knight see Kirby as a son to them as well.
Oh, but not together. They're constantly trying to subtly fight over him. Kirby's practically drowning in all the hammers and swords they've given him over the years to try and win him over. He's getting a bit sick of it.
But if Kirby had to pick one of them as a father figure, he'd pick Meta Knight without much hesitation, much to the king's dededismay. Surely it has nothing to do with all the times Dedede's tried to squish Kirby to a pulp.
