Conqueror Of Hearts

Days passed things happened and I was still struggling how to about my duty. I could barely even tie a tourniquet much less feel a vein.

But Her, she ties the tourniquet with ease and the veins just waiting for her to find them. She knew I was having difficulty in finding veins. She pointed out and in soft calming voice she said "Here.. feel this.."

I hesitated at first and then placed my fingers to she pointed. Couldn't feel anything first but then I felt it.. I could clearly make out and it felt so great I was so happy. And then she smiled and said "now for next one you find the vein and show me."

I wasn't confident enough but for that smile I would find any veins!!

And with this determination in my heart I successfully located the veins of every patient for the day. Until this one lady came who's vein I couldn't feel and was almost about to give up. But then she gently tapped the site and vein out of no where popped out like magic!! As I said she was magical. It was as if like the veins hid from me because it was scared but after her gentle pats even I would come out of my shell.

She looked at the old lady and told her in her gentle tone "Maam this is gonna hurt a little"... And she smoothly glided the needle through the skin and perfectly into the vein. As the blood gushed out the veins and into the vial she comforted the lady that it will be done soon.

It all went well and the old lady even complimented that it has been very painless experience for her and her heart was eased when she assured n comforted the lady.

She truly is conqueror of hearts. You can count my heart in the conquered ones itself.

At the end of the day I had a lot things still yet to learn and I am very excited to learn from Her.... :)
