Rajni woke up morning smiling as they have three rituals going to happen today
One is Nischay Tamulam is the official engagement ceremony of the couple. The parents of the bride and groom exchange beetle leaves and beetle nuts, showering their blessings on the new couple. Then, the parents of the groom gift the bride-to-be a saree, a matching blouse, coconut, and sweets. And the bride's parents gift the groom a dhoti, coconut, fruits, and sweets. During this ceremony, the family priest also decides on the date of the wedding.
The second one is Naandi is one such shastra, that marks the beginning of the wedding rituals. Naandi is held at the bride and groom's respective houses. In this, a copper pot filled with holy water, symbolizing Amrit, along with coconut is placed in the house. It's performed by the family priest where a prayer ensures that the wedding ceremony proceeds without any troubles. This shastra is also performed to bless the couple with a blessed life of abundance, prosperity, health, and wisdom. Following the pooja, the first invitation card is placed in front of the almighty before the rest are sent out. well this takes place in KGF but in different wings in the manor, as we have divided the house into two until the wedding east wing is the Brides wing and the west wing is the groom's wing
And the last ritual today is A Chhapra is a structure made of coconut leaves, tied together with banana stalks on either end. This structure is tied outside the house that hosts the marriage. The structure is put up after an intimate Chhapra Pooja is performed.
The room door burst open to see Priya, Reena, Mallamma, Fatimamma, and other married ladies came inside giggling
Priya said " Wakey wakey Didi today is your Sagaeee"
Reena hugged her saying " My little sister has grown up"
Fatimamma said " Rajni ma getup you have to have Mangal Sanaum ( Holy bath) and should get you ready"
Mallamma came out of the bathroom saying
"Everything is ready for you Rajni ma now get up we have limited time"
Rajni laughed saying
"Alright I am up I am up"
With that, they made Rajni sit on a stool as they started to apply multani mitti, Kasturi Haldi powder, and Rose petal powder and applied vermillion on her face and started to remove evil eyes of her and started to pore the water on her which made her feel all their blessing from them
