D.J.'s Backstory

It is all in D.J.'s POV

Hi. My full name is Donna Joe Louise Lovato. Most people call me D.J. I'm 15 years old and I live in a foster care called Sunny's Care Home. It's the worst. The food sucks. The rooms are not shared, but they are sssssoooooo tiny. I hate it here. I have no siblings. If I have any, I don't know about them. My dad is named Patrick. My mom is named Claire. She had a mental break down when my dad went to jail for hitting me when he was drunk. He left a bruise that I went to school with, my teach, Mr. Fartsworth (Mr. Farnsworth), saw it and called the police. It was a devastating day for me and my mom. I guess my mom couldn't handle my awesomeness. Naw, that's not it. I ruined my mom's life. I blame myself. Well that's enough of my story. I don't have a family anymore. I been in here for 5 years and I dyed my hair pink and purple and it sorta ended up tie-dyed. I like it. I wonder what it would be to have siblings. The closest thing I have to a sibling, is a little 2 year old that I get along with very well for some reason. Her name is Joy and she must feel safer in my arms than Sunny, the lady in charge. She has been here for 1 year and in that 1 year, I have grown attached to this 1 little girl. Both of her parents have died. My poor baby girl. I guess I'm like a mom figure to her. So if one of us gets adopted, guess what. The other is coming. True story. I once took a little vacation most people call school, she cried non-stop for 1 hour. Long story short, I'm now a high school drop-out. Thank you god, I hated school. We go Christmas shopping each with $1,000. I spend about $100 on Joy. So, I get about $1,900. $50 goes to my hair. Leaving about $1,850 on new clothes for me. Whatever is leftover goes to next years Christmas spree. Lucky for Sunny, I never spend all my money.
