Océane woke up suddenly at 4 in the morning to the distant sound of hauntingly beautiful singing. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes, wondering if she was still caught in a dream. The melodic voice carried through the quiet walls of her room, filling the night with a mix of sorrow and longing.

"Who could be singing at this hour?" Océane mumbled to herself, her curiosity getting the better of her. She slipped out of bed, wrapping a shawl around her shoulders to ward off the chill.

She glanced around her dimly lit room, searching for the source of the eerie music. It seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. Slowly, she approached the full-length mirror standing against the wall. As she got closer, she saw a faint silhouette in the reflection, and her heart skipped a beat.

There, through the mirror, stood the Phantom himself, watching her with an expression that mixed sorrow and longing. Her breath caught in her throat, and she clutched the edge of her nightgown, unable to speak.

"Forgive me, Océane," the Phantom's voice sounded as haunting as his music. "I did not mean to startle you. I had to see you."

Still taken aback by his sudden appearance, Océane finally found her voice, "How did you get in there? And why come at this hour?"

The Phantom's gaze softened, and he took a step forward, though it was only an illusion, as he remained trapped in the mirror. "I have my ways, and I apologize for the late hour, but I needed to talk to you."

As Océane stared at the figure of the Phantom in the mirror, she couldn't help but recall the first time she had encountered him in his lair beneath the opera house. It had been a surreal and unforgettable experience. She had followed a series of mysterious clues that led her to his hidden sanctuary—a place filled with music and secrets.

Her memory transported her back to that day when she had stumbled upon his lair. The memory of the mesmerizing music, the soft glow of candlelight, and the haunting allure of the Phantom had remained etched in her mind ever since.

"Are you real?" she whispered, her eyes locked with his in the reflection.

"As real as a mere reflection can be," the Phantom replied, a hint of sadness in his voice.

The memory of their impromptu duet, where they had played music together on the organ, resurfaced. Océane had discovered a kindred spirit in the Phantom, someone who shared her passion for music and understood the emotions it could convey.

"I remember the music we played together," Océane said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "It was an extraordinary experience."

The Phantom's eyes brightened at the mention of their musical encounter. "Indeed, it was," he agreed. "Your talent is remarkable, Océane. You certainly have a gift."

"I could say the same about you," she replied, her voice sincere. "Your compositions touch hearts in ways few others can."

A moment of silence hung in the air, and Océane sensed that the Phantom had something specific he wanted to discuss. Finally, he spoke, his voice tinged with a mix of hope and uncertainty, "Océane, would you consider visiting my lair once more?"

Her heart skipped a beat at the unexpected request. Despite the intrigue and fear that came with the Phantom's world, there was an undeniable allure drawing her to explore it further. "I-I would," she stammered, a blend of apprehension and curiosity in her eyes.

As the mirror glass door in front of her slowly swung open, revealing the hidden passage to the catacombs, Océane's surprise was evident. She hesitated for a moment before taking hold of the Phantom's outstretched hand, trusting him to lead her into the depths below.
