Mary von Hellings, an interesting woman she was... captured the hearts of many, such as the people, Fiona, me, and Fiona's father
Such a strong woman who had been killed by the villainess's step mom. A fact that anyone who read the novel knew early on... it was sad to me when I was reading the story, because she was my favorite character and also since I reincarnated as an adult version of Fiona, I never even got to meet her. Mary was widowed then remarried and had Fiona, then died while she was young.
More than anything she and Leon, Fiona's father, loved each other. They were called the couple of the stars who were met with unfortunate circumstances.
Fiona's father had been forced into a marriage with another woman since he was a child but he had rebelled and run away from it and married Fiona's mom. But his mother forced him to take in his original marriage partner, Lola, as a concubine, something Fiona's step mother, Lola, hated the most.
By not being loved by the man she wanted, her insanity, growing throughout the years turned into resentment and anger, which led to her poisoning Fiona's mother.
She figured if she couldn't have her position since she was alive, then she'd have to kill her, to take it. A real bitch I wish I didn't have to deal with
Pretty and cunning, that she is...
what makes matters worse is the fact that she has a young daughter named calliope who looks exactly like her, but is the opposite in every way. Why is that a problem? She may not be like her but I can't like or get close to her, because Calliope, as sweet as she is, is the main reason, after Leon, that the real Fiona died in the novel. Simply because she's the main character. For her character development Fiona died.
