Christmas In Miami

Miami/New York.

Our next destination after leaving the airport is the New York Crime lab,I've never actually been to New York. Well I've got close but until today I'd never actually seen what the city looked like. The streets full of people and the roads full of cars and the iconic yellow taxis,it felt closer to Christmas here than it does back in Miami. Since the Lab isn't to far from the airport, H and I walked there. I took in as much of the sights around me as I could,I don't know when I will be back here again.

On the walk to the lab I got a phone call,I answered the phone and immediately regretted it
"Y/N L/N YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME YOU WHERE LEAVING THE STATE" my dad Gordon shouted down the phone at me"YOU ARE MEANT TO STAY PUT,OR DID YOU FORGET..."I held the phone away from my ear
"Problem?" H asked me
"Just Gordon going off on one,because I left Miami and didn't tell him" I say
"Why do you need to tell him?" Horatio asked.

"Its Gordon and Victor's anniversary tomorrow and I'm not allowed to miss another one" I say
"We should be back before tomorrow" H said,I took the chance and lifted the phone back to my ear. I could hear Victor now talking to Gordon
"...you know she is a p.i like you and she might have had to leave the state quickly" Victor is saying
"Exactly dad,listen to your husband" I say.

Horatio's P.O.V

I tried to not listen to Y/n's conversation what happened in that family no longer concerns me,I'd met Gordon and Victor years ago back when Y/n and I where in a relationship. There nice guys,Gordon wasn't too fond of me to begin with Y/n but he got used to me,eventually. Victor was easier to deal with,as we had actually met before.
"...look dad I'm sorry but something came up and I had to head to New York" Y/n is saying"..yes I will be back by tomorrow, I promise"
We arrived at the lab but I stayed outside until Y/n is done with her call.

Y/n p.o.v

After my dad had finished having a moan at me ,Victor wanted to talk to me
"I know my mother asked you take this job in Miami, how have been considering you are working with your ex" Victor asked
"To be honest Vic,its kinda 50/50 being back around H again" I say
"Meaning?" Victor asked
"Well don't tell Gordon,but...I think I'm still in love with Horatio" I admit
"I see" Gordon said" And we both know your father didn't like him after the two of broke up"

"I know dad blames H for our brake up,but it was mutual at the time." I say
"I know you are grown woman and came make your own choice's of who trust your heart with,but I want you to be extra certain before going back to Horatio" Victor tells me"I know how much it hurt when you went your sperate ways the first time."
"I know Vic I will be careful, besides I don't know if H even still has feelings for me"I said
"We can talk more about this tomorrow"
