Y/ns pov:

As I woke up, I was pleasantly greeted by the soft moonlight shining from my small window. He must have opened the curtains after nightfall. I looked around to see if he was in the room, but not this time. What a relief. He was a dangerous boy or man. However, you look at it. On the outside, he does look like a frigid, skinny boy. Still, if you knew him like how I do, then that's another tale, his pale skin with his hair as white as cotton, his eyelid a pretty teal colour but his sclera a blood red colour and his pale iris, but what is terrifying to me is his number.

'Number 5 of the lower Kizuki'

And that number alone will always scare me. You are probably wondering why I'm here talking about him...

'Should I let you think about it and then explain it to you in the future, mhhh? I mean, you are playing this role. I am you, so I don't know why you can't remember. What an embarrassment, I guess we must wait till you get all the memories back.'

Pulling the covers off, I stared blankly at the vacant spot beside me. I shook the feeling and got up, putting on my white kimono and fixing my once h/c that had now turned white from him. As I placed the final ribbon in my hair, there was a slight knock on the door

"Y/n, it's me," the mother of the household or Ruis household knocked

"Please come in. The door is never locked," I spoke gently and quietly as I chuckled. I heard the door slide from behind me

"Hello, Mother," I curtsy at the older woman standing before me. She always had a sad look on her face

"Good evening, Rui was wondering if you were going to wake up today." She smiled her rare and occasional genuine smile. It's always nice to see that from her

If I was honest with myself, I never liked waking up. I sleep on purpose just to evade Rui at all costs, but I do need to rest a lot because of him being too harsh. I heal my wounds and body parts because I refuse to consume humans, I never knew why, but I can't tolerate it

"Ha, yeah, I'm awake," I scuffed the back of my neck to avoid the awkwardness. "Should we go out?" She pondered but nodded as we stepped out into the room to go toward the dining hall

"Ah, look, who finally came out to see us had a good nap." Ruis's oldest brother spoke from the ceiling. He always had a creepy aura to him, I don't know if it was because he always tried to flirt with me whenever Rui was not looking or if he was a real spider from the neck down

"Yes, it was a good slumber. I walked over to my cushion next to the two girls and the two children,

"Y/n came out to play and help. Yay." The little boy with two dots on either side of his face beamed at me while yanking my kimono." I would never confess it, but he was adorable, even though I see him tear into someone's heart before he felt like my little brother

"I have. What do you want to do? " I smiled at the little boy. He might not even be as little as I thought because of being a demon

"Don't even think about it." A cold sweat dripped down my forehead. The air felt thin as everyone tensed up. We all acknowledged that voice, his soft footsteps reaching closer and closer with each puff I take

"Morning, Y/n. How long has it been this time? Four months, I think, yeah, four months and thirteen days, that's a long time, you know," he whispered from behind his cold and raspy voice that only I could hear. This fear was nothing new, yet every time I couldn't manage to look at him, I scarfed whatever saliva that hasn't dried in my throat.

"Close to that, yeah." I didn't dare make eye contact. All I did was stare at the empty chair before me, his vacant chair. His cold breath hit my ear each time, the scent of rotten corps and blood wavered around him, and those cold, brutal eyes

"Mhhhh, not looking at me. What's the issue." He put both of his hands on my shoulders. He slowly lifted a finger toward the door. "OUT," he declared sternly but not directed at me but the others in the room, as the footsteps grew to evanesce away

"Now, Y/n, why aren't you looking at me? You know I've been waiting to see your face, did you notice the curtains? I know you love the moonlight, so I open them every night for you if you wake up."

He grabbed my chin but didn't force me to look at him, "I wish you knew how much I care." Tears were pricking at the end of my eyes. I slowly lifted my hand to wipe the upcoming tears, but he grabbed it

"Your hands are soft." he interlocked our fingers together as the tears I was trying to get away dripped onto our hands. "Talk to me, Y/n. The house has been so lonely since you've been asleep. I've missed you so much. " he clutched my hair with his other hand, letting go of my chin, "Your hair is soft too."

He grooms my bedhead. "Rui, can you let go?" As his fingers stopped combing through my hair, he gripped a fist full of it. "Why are you always like this? I love you, and this is how I get treated. You said that day you said you would agree to this. YOU SAID YOU WOULD BE MY GIRLFRIEND." His impulsive rise of tone made me wince as he yanked me off the floor

"Open your eyes." He asked me, his cold breath hitting my face. "Don't make me ask again." He gave me a warning. His voice sounded so threatening like he would do what he did to his siblings, hang them there till they died. I opened my eyes to meet his dark expression

"There, was it that hard" he gently let go of my hair, stroking it back, "Don't think I won't forget about this" As he pulled me into a hug, continually stoking my hair, "You put the ribbons in your hair they've always looked cute on you." he kissed the top of my forehead, I still couldn't stare at him in the eyes, why am I like this I need to or who knows how much trouble I'll be in, "mhh Y/n" he lifted my head to face him as he smirked "he grabs the thing he was holding earlier and brought it to me "what's this" I mumbled not wanting to receive anything from him

"Here, I got you this," as he handed me a white packet with a ribbon. I carefully opened the box and dropped it as soon as I saw what was inside

"Rui, that's... that's a.. that's an ear. Why would you give this to me? I stepped away from the box, disgusted. He knew I despised seeing human flesh not on their owner's bodies anymore or any of the family members eating them, then why give me something like this, and the ear looks rotten? How long has it been sitting in there

"Oh, oops, I forgot about that. No, it's not the ear itself. It's what's on it. " he ripped it in half and pulled something from it. "Here, my gift to you," he held two matching pairs of purple diamond earrings. I tried not to vomit as blood came dripping off the earrings and into the box

"Want me to put it on you?"  he smiled. I thought I would get sick as I shook my head violently. "That's a shame, and I waited all this time to see your reaction. Well, it was pretty much something I did want to see, your frightened look. Here, if you put on the earrings, then I might pass over about the incident you pulled."

I walked over and turned around as I moved my hair out of the way. "Good girl," he cooed as he clipped them in the previous owner's blood, getting on my ear lobe

"I have some business to take care of, so I must be off. I'm happy you're awake again. You better not fall asleep so fast this time. " Then he left as I stood there in a room by myself and a human ear, all alone.
