My heavy eyelids slowly opened. I rubbed the tired eyes with the backs of my hands. I let out a slight groan as I checked my surroundings, seeing everyone from last night. I tilted my head and realized they were all asleep.
"What?" I mumbled. I tried to pull away from the tree. I felt prickling against my back. I couldn't move. I looked down. Rope was tied around my middle.
"Crap," I hissed under my breath. One of the others started to stir.
"Alexa?" They asked with a quiet voice.
I looked at the small, bruised body.
"Oh god... What happened?" I mumbled. Suddenly my head was slammed against the tree.
"Shut up." A rough voice said. I winced and growled.
"Who are you?" I asked, opening my eyes. A stinging sensation filled my face as a hand slapped me harshly.
"I just told you to shut up. You should listen to the people who are higher in class." He hissed. I looked up at the figure towering over me.
"My names Alexa," I continued, not caring about the pain swirling through my face and body.
"You don't stop do you?" He glared at me and I smiled back.
Just sit down. I promise the drug I'm going to give will feel great. I thought. I walked towards someone else.
"Crap," I mumbled, looking down.
"Eyes on me." The voice said.
"Why?" I looked up into the eyes that were looking down on me.
"Because reasons." He replied. I rolled my eyes.
"Idiot..." I mumbled under my breath.
"Excuse me?!" He raised his voice. I shrugged. He raised my chin to have me look at him. I tried to pull away, but I couldn't.
"Don't touch me," I growled. He chuckles.
"You don't like to be touched?" He tilted his head slightly. I looked in his black Jean pocket and saw a blue phone sticking out.
"That's my frickin phone!" I yelled, trying to ignore the fact his face kept getting closer. The screen flashed. I saw an "A" before he whipped it out of his pocket, getting his hand out from under my chin.
"Don't you dare text her..." I growled. He raised an eyebrow.
"She's important to you?" He asked. I didn't answer.
"Would you like me to call her?" He smiled a devilish smile. I looked away.
"That's a yes then!" He said. He unlocked the phone, perfectly entering the passcode.
"How?" I asked, still looking away. He shrugged.
"I'm just a genius." He smirked and went to Alana's contact.
He pressed dial, pushing the phone up to my ear.
Alana quickly responded.
"Hello?" She questioned.
"Alana?" I say, trying to sound relaxed.
"Where are you? What happened?" She asked sternly.
"Listen Alana, I-" The man glared at me evilly. He silently let me know not to say anything. "-uh... I'm doing fine. I have a-uh-cold."
"Uh... What?" Alana asked. She obviously did not believe my lies.
The man whipped my phone away and smashed it to the ground.
"Don't want to be tracked now do we?" He smirked. I turned my head away.
"Say something." He ordered. I turned my head fully to the side. He grabbed my face with his hand.
"Look at me," he spat on my face.
"Why do you want me?" I asked him, trying to escape his grasp.
"Because you are the odd one out, the rebel." He said, walking away from me, He folded his hands behind his back. I felt the sharp object hidden in my sleeve. I had forgotten about the knife I stowed there. It made its way to my fingers, cutting the rope binding hands together. I was ready to cut the rope tying me to the tree next.
I felt the bounds around my wrists loosen.
Yes... I thought. I began to cut through the other ropes. The man looked at me.
"What's your name?" I asked him, still working.
"Levi," he mumbled.
"Well, nice to meet you." The binds loosened. His eyes went wide as he noticed.
"Crap." I stood up quickly and hipped out of the ropes. He pulled out a knife, bigger than the one I was using. I glanced back at my friends.
"I promise I'll be back," I whispered. I turned the other way and took off in a sprint, Levi right behind me.
----------------------------------------------
"Help." The text simply states. I had taken a phone from someone on the street. I stated it was me. I quickly run on the sidewalk, hearing the footsteps behind me.
"Crap," I mutter. Suddenly, a huge pain fills my entire back. I fall forward on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Never try to run from a man with a knife," he chuckles, taking the knife out of my back.
"L-leave me alone," I stutter, blood starting to enter my mouth.
"Let's show you to Alana, shall we?" He picks me up carefully and tosses me on his shoulder, no strength to fight back.
He stands there, still holding me.
"She should be here any minute now," he says. I look around weakly, losing blood.
"P-put me down," I mumble.
"And let you run away again? No, I'm not letting you out of my sight... Alexa," he chuckles. Tears form at my eyes.
'Hurry Alana, please,' I think, biting my lip.
