Daniel’s POV

She’s gorgeous in every way; I wish she could see what I see. We had breakfast and she seemed to have lightened up quite a lot compared to yesterday when I bought her. That sounds wrong ‘I bought her’ ugh, this world disgusts me sometimes, but I’m glad I met her.

“Good morning!” She said in a happy voice.

“That it is, you like your bedroom?”

“It’s huge; I’ve never slept in a room that big!” She said grabbing some food.

“Well it’s yours.” I said kindly.

“Thank you; you really are too nice Danny.” She said, she pulled the tiny hair-ties from her hair and long pink hair flowed down to her ankles.

“You have beautiful hair, it’s really that color naturally?”

“Yeah, last I remember it was at my hips, seems it grew.”

“That’s amazing, you’re so gorgeous Serenity.” I said and she blushed lightly.

“Uh, thank you.” She said looking at her food and really anything but me.

I took her out on to the balcony, it had a great view.

“It’s beautiful from up here.” Serenity said.

“I’ll be right back, don’t go anywhere.” I said, walking back inside.

Serenity’s POV

Danny walked out and I stood there beholding the view. I still hadn’t gone shopping for new clothes yet, so I was still in rags. A young man, around 14, walked out and looked at me angrily.

“What are you doing?”

“Excuse me?” I asked, looking at him confused.

“How dare you look at a master in the eyes, you’re nothing but a slave, no?” He said.

“Uh, well I…I mean-I um” I stuttered, what would I tell him? I’m not a slave but I’m wearing rags?

He approached me and raised his hand in the air, and any slave knew exactly what that meant. He slapped me; I fell to the floor and held my face.

“I ought to beat you for this; you know slaves aren’t allowed out here on the balcony. You must think because you’re pretty you can get your way all the time, let me tell you-” He was picked up by two strong arms.

“Big Brother, what are you doing?!” The boy said; Danny had scooped him up as if he weighed nothing.

“Danny!” I said, had I ever been glad to see him.

“Hello beautiful, are you hurt?” he said, as he dropped his little brother and came over to me.

“Um, no really it was nothing.” I said, trying to reassure him that I was fine.

“No, your face, did he hit you?”

“Yes, but I promise I’m-” I was cut off by Danny kicking and cursing at his little brother.

“You ass, you hit her?! Are you on drugs? She’s smoking hot, why would you hit her?!” He said but then stopped, realizing what he had just said. He grinned at me and scratched the back of his neck; he was even blushing a little.

“Um, who’s he?” I said trying to kill the awkward feeling between all of us.

“That’s my little brother; Axel. Axel would you like to apologize to Serenity for slapping her, before I tie you throat into a knot?” It was more of a demand really, than a question.

“Sorry about that, why are you in rags?”

“I haven’t bought any clothes yet.”

“Your voice is pretty.” Axel said.

“I told you, everything about her is nice.” Danny said.

I was blushing, like a lot. If there was switch somewhere in me that made me blush, and I could reach it, I'd rip it out.

"I may as well introduce you to the rest of the family while I'm at it." Danny said.
