so i roll up to my very first party
tremors rippling through my body
moving down my shoulder blades
sparking me up inside.
people surround me
dancing and laughing and shouting
lavenders with faded eyes and
carnations yelling to their friends and
daisies giggling to hide their lonely minds.
i look around
at these beautiful flowers
and wonder what i am
walking up through the crowd
into the house
screaming and shaking in silence.
one step in
through the front door.
and i look up
into the eyes of another boy in bloom.
he stares right back at me
and i am awoken.
