Hawaii pov.

Once Makuakāne left, and it was just me and Japan.

"I want to say sorry for my mother's actions towards you in the last world War, I'm deeply sorry." She told me, on the verge of tears.

"It's alright, as papa said, we're on better terms now, and I would love to keep it that way." I told her smiling brightly. She smiled back weakly, and hugged me. I patted her back and she let go.

America pov.

Once I left Hawaii and Japan, I ran into France and Britain with Dixie.

"Hey, Dixie can I borrow you for a moment?" I asked making my presence known.

"Yeah, I'll be right there Meri, give me a moment y'all." He told my adoptive parents, and walked over to me. "Did it go well with Hawaii and Japan?" He asked me.

"Yeah, where did Canada go? I thought he was with you." I questioned him.

"Yeah, he was then Mexico came in and called him away." Dixie explained, I nodded and heard the dinner bell.

"Looks like it's time for dinner, come on you two, we'll lead you to the table." I told my parents, motioning for them to follow. Once everyone made it to the table and sat down, Delaware got up.

"I wanted to apologize for my siblings actions in not introducing ourselves to you all. I'm Delaware, you can call me Dela, and I'm 19 years old." He introduced himself. This continued around the table, until it was the countries turn introduce themselves to the kids. Introductions stopped at Dixie.

"Howdy, I'm the Confederate states of America, but y'all can call me Dixie, I'm also America's blood twin." Confederate introduced himself. Everyone but Canada and Mexico looked shocked. "Hey Union, try to eat somethin' 'fore you pass out again." Dixie warned me. I nodded and grabbed some food.

"You never told us you had a blood brother!" Australia shouted.

"That's because of something that happened in the past, I'm just glad we moved past it." Pennsylvania told him, effectively shutting down any further discussion about Dixie.

"Son, may I speak to you for a moment please?" Britain asked, I nodded and looked at Dixie. He gave me a look warning me to tread lightly. I got up and followed the brit out of the dinning hall.

"What do want to talk about old man?" I questioned him skeptically.

"I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for pushing you away like I did, I've seen your relationship with Canada and saw how much closer it's driven the both you, I just hope you could forgive me." Britain explained, I nodded and looked at him like he was crazy.

"You didn't just push me away old man, you killed my blood mother when you started to colonize, I had to hide Dixie while the freedom war was happening so he didn't get hurt, when you adopted me and the 13 came to be, I sent them with Dixie so they couldn't get caught in the crossfire. So why are asking for forgiveness when, I'm not the one to apologize to? The kids had to witness me enter a war that we had little to no chance of winning till France entered the fray. During the Boston massacre you killed one of the kids, everyone was devastated, they made me promise to win that war for him, to not let his death be in vain. This is why I never told anyone about the kids, Canada and Mexico were the only ones I trusted enough to help keep the secret, they even pitched in when I overworked a couple of times, even though one of my states came to me from Mexico, asking for help. I helped them, and now they have a healthier relationship with Mexico." I explained to the brit.

"I know I have wronged you and your children more than once, but I would love to move on and get to know them better." He told me. I looked round and saw Dixie standing in the far corner out of view from the brit in front of me. He nodded and walked over when he realized I acknowledged his presence in the room.

"I thought you learned after the freedom war, that a simple sorry ain't gonna fix anythin' Redcoat, but bless yer heart for tryin'." Dixie told him, a certain honey sweet tone lacing his accent. I stifled a laugh looking at the slightly put off British man in front of us. I shifted so I could re-enter the dinning hall to finish dinner, Dixie on my tail walking back. We left the old man where he was, as he was trying to figure out how Dixie meant his words. Delaware caught on to the smirk that played on Confederate's face.

"Uncle Confed, what did you do?" Dela asked.

"I haven't a clue as to what you mean, Delaware." Confetti replied with a joking tone. Before Delaware could question Dixe any further, Britain walked in still struggling to understand what Dixie said. Delaware saw this and held back a laugh.

"I understand now Uncle Dixie." Delaware told him, winking slightly. I had an amused look on my face and started eating once more.

"Hey dad, can I grab the dessert from the kitchen? It looks like everyone is just 'bout done with dinner." Mississippi pointed out.

"Of course, go ahead." I told my daughter. She got up and went to the kitchen and came back with some peach cobbler. The kids looked at Miss like she was holding the holy grail, once she set the cobbler on the table everyone reached for a piece of it. Once all of the kids had some on their plates Dixie brought it closer to us so we could get some as well. The other countries looked at the dessert with a look of confusion. I guess I forgot they don't know what cobbler is, since it's not as popular outside the US.

"Ame, mate what are you eating?" Aussie asked.

"It's peach cobbler, it's really good try some." I told him, passing the tin towards him. I watched as he grabbed a piece and put it on his plate hesitating slightly. We all watched as he took a bite savoring it's flavor. I nodded and the others gave in and took pieces for themselves.

"This is heavenly Ame." Aussie told me, I beamed with pride.

"You should look at the kids." I told him. He did and thanked them for the dessert. Once everyone finished eating we went split off for bed.
