"HEY, you've reached money Mase!" The voice message that Mallory had gotten so used to hearing played. "Leave me a message after the beep and I'll call you as soon as I can!"

The loud beep sounded in her ear, making her hold her head in her hands. "Hey babe! Looks like I missed you... again. I just really wanted to talk to you, but maybe we can talk when you get out of practice, as I'm just now realizing that it's like, 1pm there.

"Anyways, I hope you're having a good fourth of July. The boys and some others came over for a little bit, I'm sure you saw that in the group chat, but we went in the pool, Madders grilled for us, yada, yada, ya.

"It's really funny, actually! We got fruit platters and Phil and Ronnie ate all of the cantaloupe, and then Stones got mad and pushed Phil into the pool..." The silence filled the air as she sat on the edge of her bed. Mallory bit her lip as she thought of what to say next. "You know, John and Kyle came over, and they tried to have a pool noodle fight, and John hit Kyle over the head and he started pouting..."

Mallory sighed, feeling tears coming up. "I just really miss you. I really, really wish you were here. The eight hour time difference is really, really... killing me. I just miss you so much, I miss your voice, I miss your laugh. I trust you so much, but not being able to see you or even talk to you is driving me a little insane.

"I'm just counting down the days until you come home. Just counting down the days until I can kiss you again," Mallory hummed, climbing into bed while laying with Masons sweatshirt. "Call me in the morning. I miss your voice so much. Okay, lo- I mean, miss you, bye!"
