Ejiro sat in one of the many cubicles. Ejiro's cubicle was equipped with a VR headset tied to a chair and special gloves on the desk. What interested him was the small rectangular device to the right of the desk that provided the link between the cubicle and the network. swiping his stolen keycard above the device, the desk screen lit up, and he connected his phone to the computer wirelessly.

He browsed the files on the computer but found nothing. He then found the search icon on the bottom left corner and asked the AI for a map. It scoured Tech-Think's network and found what he needed, which he downloaded onto his phone. Once done, the DA agent unlinked his cubicle to the network.

"I downloaded a map onto my cell. It's got a bunch of information about the guild that we knew nothing about." Ejiro walked through the glass door with a smile.

*Crash!* He couldn't celebrate much as someone pitched a sharp stone at Ejiro's eye. He moved quickly, and the stone shattered the glass behind him.

Five guards appeared. One held a deadly carnivorous plant, another had a pouch filled with rocks, the third made a water vortex around Ejiro to prevent his movement, and the two others stayed at the rear.

But as wings sprouted from Ejiro's back and he brandished his giant sword, the guards were stunned.

They didn't have time to retreat.

In a flash of light, the three closer guards died. Nothing could stop Ejiro's Dragonsword and speed as he flew towards his next victim.

The fourth guard attempted to shoot at him with an impulse laser rifle but fell miserably as a burning light beam passed through his brain.

"I guess it's a one-versus-one now," Ejiro smirked, his sword on his shoulder.

However, the last man was strange. His forked tongue grew out of his mouth, and his snake eyes began glowing black.

Taken aback, Ejiro Sani made eye contact. The second he did so was the second he lost the fight. Ejiro's body retreated to a vegetable state as his brain lost control.

The snake humanoid laughed while approaching Ejiro without worry. "I've taken control of your body, mister."

*Kssh!* Feeling a profound discomfort, the man looked down at his chest. There was a bloodstained hand with sharp black claws poking out of him. He struggled to breathe as it crushed his heart and tore down his organs.

"Don't look into his eyes!" said the cloud of bloodlust behind the dead guard.

Ejiro slowly regained control of his body. He sighed, "It's a little too late for that. Thanks."

The new vampire struggled but resisted the urge to join in on Gabriella's feast as she stuck her fangs into the man's neck. He skimmed the room while she sucked away the cursed snake man's blood.

The vampiric queen licked her fingers clean. "I found the way up."

They flew down through a shattered window and picked up Seth at the parking lot.

"Sorry, I'm the one who raised the alarm," the retired mage apologized. "That robot was remarkably good at concealing himself."

They flew to the highest floor. Gabriella walked behind Ejiro, going up the stairway leading above the roof.

Ejiro made eye contact. "Hey, Gabriella."

"Hm?"

"You could have definitely escaped back there. Why did you save me instead?" The high vampire felt conflicted.

Gabriella was out of answers. She froze in place and contemplated her choice. The pure vampire could have called her father while Ejiro and Seth were away, but she didn't. Instead, she even saved Ejiro from getting caught!

"Whatever..." Ejiro turned his head towards the sunlight brimming through the door.

As Seth Rayn opened it, Gabriella and Seth were blinded by the light as their eyes struggled to adapt after not seeing the sun for many hours.

...

Inside the circular room, DP20-X alerted its creator with a pained expression. "There's a problem at the Tech-Think tower. They believe they spotted people from the DA. An old man, a man in his thirties and a teenage girl."

The robot thought that its creator would be unhappy. However, Snoid smiled at this new information.

"It must be these three. That's great." He had been trying to find Gabriella since she had disappeared from the West DA.

The snake humanoid looked at Aaron, Isaac, Luo and Jenna's sleeping bodies with a plotting smile.

...

Inside the STM, Jenna was meditating in a lotus position. The grass was warm, and the breeze felt refreshing. She straightened her posture and attempted to reach inside her soul as the bald NPC had told her.

"My blood is the sea, and my soul is the moon. If my soul gets too close, the sea rises and clashes against the shore; my body, but if it gets too far, the sea becomes empty; I die."

A white light surrounded her. She was in a simulation, but the process was the same in the real world. "Balance. I need to find the balance between the sea and the earth."

Proud, the trainer smiled. 'She's learning very quickly.'

The fresh breeze turned into a warm wind that pushed her toward the sky, and without realizing it, Jenna lifted herself above the ground.

"My breath is the wind that guides the flow of the water," she continued her meditation.

"My artilleries are the watercourses that regulate the continents' temperature; my body's temperature. And with each heartbeat, power generates from my soul." Water particles formed as the air around her dried up.

Jenna opened her eyes. To her amazement, she could see the tree tops from her perspective.

"Good job, you did it. You're flying!" The humble AI laughed from down below.

"Woohoo!" Jenna flew across branches and above trees before landing next to her trainer.

She wanted to express her gratitude before seeing how her powers had ruined the greenery. All the vegetation around her was dead and shrivelled.

"By controlling this power, the real world gets confused. It orbits around me, and rid of all its magnificence, nature becomes unnatural..."

Jenna became hesitant to use it more. She had no idea what this power was capable of doing. However, she was determined to get stronger.
