Finding out

Daisy pov

I woke up the next day blissfully. It was just a dream, thank god. Or atleast I thought until I saw jasper lay on my bed reading, my hand resting on his chest. I jump up and he just looks at me confused

"Are you alright?" He asks

"This is what's gonna happen. You're gonna leave my room, you won't tell a soul that you slept here last night and if you dare mention that I opened up to you, then I'll have you hanged for being a cunt" I say to him forcing him to stand up

"Daisy, what are you scared of? Didn't it feel relieving to not hide your feelings? Like a weight had been lifted off your shoulders?"

"What am I scared of? This isn't some fucking wattpad story! I'm not gonna tell you all my life secrets just because you ask me what I'm scared of! Now leave so I can go changed and leave me the fuck alone" I yell at him. He looks down sadly and leaves my room. The moment he's gone, I slam the door after him and cry out in anger

"Fuck sake" why did I do that? He was comforting and warm and nice. But I pushed him away and clearly hurt his feelings. I'm such an idiot. I got changed into some baggy jeans, an oversized black hoodie, trainers and my hat before grabbing my skateboard and leaving the house. Carlisle is outside and asks me

"Where are you off to?"

"I'm going to la push skate park. I dont know if I'll come back so I wouldn't hope your breath" I yell to him

"OK well dinner is at 7" he chuckles as I storm of angrily. Who does he think he is? Dinner is at 7 my arse. I eat when I'm hungry, not when the fucking clock tells me to eat. Is he simple or something? He's not my dad, he's just some guy who's payed to let me stay at his house. Not like he has any actual responsibilities

Jasper pov

"Why did you let her go? Anything could happen to her" I yell at Carlisle but alice is quick to intervene

"Everyone knows you'll chase after her anyway. And she'd leave no matter what we say" I huff before jumping into the trees and following Daisy. It's a long walk to the far side of la push. After 20 minutes, she starts talking to herself

"Who does he think he is?"

"What am I scared of? I'll show him what I'm fucking scared of when I shove my fears up his arse"

"Dinner at 7! What a twat!"

"My legs are on fire"

"Jesus this is a long walk in the woods"

"The bare necessities of life will come to you! They'll come to you. Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities...."

"Such a kiss ass. Tryna tell me I can't go to la push. Too bloody dangerous is it Edward? Well guess what, I'm fucking going"

I must say, it was quite funny to listen to her conversation with herself and her singing. She wasn't particularly amazing at singing, but wasn't bad either, just rather entertaining. We got to a certain point and I realised I couldn't go any further. Wolf territory. Shit. I could smell them near aswell, if they smell vampire on Daisy, then they'll kill her in seconds. I can't take that risk. Just as Daisy steps onto their land, a wolf appears infront of her, as a warning. They assume we've told her, they think she knows

"Well fuck me dry and call me nora" she mumbles in fear as the wolf growls at her. Daisy begins to back away slowly but she falls over a twig. From the top of the tallest tree, I jump down and land infront of her. The wolf pounces for me but I knock him away

"Daisy leave!" I yell using my speed infront of her

"But-"

"Leave!" I growl looking her in the eyes. The anger in my eyes is vibrant and because of that fear, she does as I say and runs back the direction of home. Another wolf comes over to me and attacks but I jump backwards into my own territory as they growl from their spot. Using my speed, I catch up with a terrified Daisy

"Don't come any closer" she screams backing away slowly

"Daisy, I'm not gonna hurt you"

"You're fast, and....and you fought off a wolf. Humans can't do that" she says with her lip trembling

"I'll explain everything I promise. Let's go home" I suggest reaching for her hand but she steps back from fear

"Don't touch me, you're not human, you're a monster, you'll kill me, just do it fast, please" she begs as a single tear runs down her cheek

"Darling, you're right, I am a monster, the things people put in horror stories, the villain, the murderer. But every monster had a weak spot. You're my weak spot. I won't do anything to harm you or any other innocent human. I promise you with all my cold heart" I walk closer and this time, she doesn't back away

"Jasper"

"I'm a vampire" I tell her. Her eyes go wide but she doesn't flinch

"No, you're still Jasper to me" if I could cry I would. She wraps her arms around my neck as I lift her up for a hug

"Are you all vampires?" Daisy asks

"My family, yes. Let's go home and we can answer any of your questions. No more secrets Daisy, from now on, you'll know the truth"
