Ally
It's past five.
He wants to meet in his home. No doubt he wants to show me that he's in control and I'm at his mercy.
"No doubt he wants to play with you first in exchange in helping you," I told myself.
He's powerful enough to do what he pleases. I can't blame him for wanting to get back at me.
I'm to blame for everything.
Ten years ago...
Where is he?
I look at the time he was supposed to be here ten minutes ago and he's never late. He's always the one waiting for me.
I had this whole in my gut, and I know that something was definitely wrong.
Adam... Where are you?
Then suddenly my phone rings.
I look at the caller ID
It's Adam.
Oh thank god!
"Hey. Where are you? I've been so worried."
"Ally?"
I frowned. It's not Adam. It's his mom.
"Hi, mom," I said. Ever since Adam introduced me to her she insisted on me calling her mom. She's an amazing person and she reminds me a lot of my own mother.
"Ally..."
She was crying...
"Mom? What's wrong? Why are you calling me from Adam's phone?"
"Oh, Ally... It's Adam. Something terrible has happened. He's... He's... He got into an accident and we're at the hospital right now. He's in the emergency room right now and I just... I don't know what to do..."
I felt my whole world collapse.
Oh god. Not Adam. Not my Adam.
"I'm on my way. Adam is strong. He's a fighter. He's going to be okay mom."
I rushed to the hospital.
When I got there I was led to the waiting room where Adam's mom, Linda is.
She saw me and she rushed to me and we hugged each other.
"Have you heard anything?" I asked.
She shook her head. "Not yet."
I nodded as I try to keep my tears at bay. "He's going to be okay."
"Ally," someone was calling me.
A voice was breaking through my thoughts.
"Ally," a voice said again.
"Ally."
It's Carly.
I shook my head.
"Yes. Sorry," I said.
"Are you okay? You were so lost and deep in thought."
"Yeah. Sorry, I... I was thinking about something," I said.
"Let me guess. Adam?"
I looked at her and I guess the look on my face confirmed it.
"Ally... I know how hard this must be for you..."
