Smoking, blood, murder, toxic relationship

---Y/N'S POV---

The fire is crackling in the fireplace, it's early evening, all the girls are gone to some party, Cordelia is out with Hank. (I hate him so much, I'm sorry Delia) and Fiona is probably in some bar as usual and tries to cloud her thoughts as much as possible. So I'm here alone. It's not that I don't want to go to the party, it's just that I prefer tea by the fire with a good book. I flip through the chapters and pages until I finally get tired, so I decide to turn on the TV to see something. Holding the remote control tightly in my hand, I switch through the different channels until I come across something interesting.

On the news, a reporter talks about finding a hole made by a man about my age behind a supermarket. She says he was drugged with something unknown and then had his throat slit. It is exactly the supermarket where I went shopping for the circle today. But the horror doesn't end there, because the next moment the camera shows the face of the dead man and I shiver down my spine. He's the man who flirted with me at the supermarket today.

I'm so fixated on the news that I don't even notice that someone opens the front door and comes in, only when I put two arms around my waist from behind do I hear the person's presence. I don't even have to turn around to see who it is, the way her arms wrap around me tells me it's her. Without taking my eyes off the TV screen, I ask her very quietly,

"It was you, wasn't it?"

I can see her grin in my mind's eye. Of course it was her who else should it have been. The smell of cigarettes and Chanel No°5 gets stronger and stronger as she gets closer and whispers a

"yes"

in my ear. An equally quiet

"Why?"

comes out of my mouth to which she just replies,

"I don't like sharing what's mine."
