Thirty-first Verse

When you said you loved me

I believed you, I really believed you

when you said you would never leave me

I also believed you...

...why then are tears falling from my eyes now?

-translated from "Wasted Love"

from Future Colors' first mini-album Love/Pain

"I think I like this song, hyung." Junhee sang the new lyrics softly.

"My world is all turned around now

I don't know what's up or down

Tell me which way are we going

Can I trust your words? After all

I thought you said you love me..."

"I suppose that means the artist's block is over?" Jae sunbae asked, looking over Minha's shoulder. The latter covered the music sheets with his hands and glared. "Fine, fine. I'll leave you alone." Jae sunbae held up his hands and backed away.

"I'll show them to you when I'm done, sunbae," Minha gabbled. "Right now I'm still not satisfied."

"Okay." Jae sunbae spread his hands and turned to Jungkyu, who was talking with Shingu sunbae. Minha looked over at them, then hunched his shoulders and turned his back. He didn't like Shingu sunbae very much right now.

"At least Minha seems to have gotten some inspiration now," that most disliked person commented.

"Mr. Obvious, that's who he is," Minha muttered to himself.

"That dongsaeng of yours asked me for an autograph, by the way," Shingu sunbae continued.

"Who? Bebeh?" Jae sunbae asked.

"Mmm. She had a paper fan that was given out at the time Till We Meet Again was shown here, so I signed it. I said if I'd known before that she was a fan, I would have brought some of the promo materials for her. Guess it never occurred to her to ask you."

"That's Bebeh for you."

"She's a sweet kid," Shingu sunbae commented.

Sweet kid?

SWEET kid?

That better not mean anything more, sunbae.

Minha wanted to turn around and glare at Shingu sunbae, but then that would mean he had been listening to the conversation despite showing that he wasn't interested. So he had to settle for grumbling to himself and then writing a couple of verses about how the "other guy" was slick and superficial. It wasn't really good enough to be included in the song, but at least he was able to let off steam.
