PRIVATE, BUT NOT a secret. That had been the plan. And oh man, did it work! (Very well too!) Mason and Nell had early in their relationship decided to keep it private — or perhaps it was more of a secret, at least in the beginning, but it was a secret kept only from the public eye. Their families and friends knew — of course, they did!
It was a big step for them when they decided to go *somewhat public with their relationship. (meaning Nell could be seen in a photo on an Instagram post on Mason and Jasmine's respective accounts). They were very well aware of the risks of finally going public: like how people would have a lot of opinions and how their relationship might (more like would) get scrutinised.
However, Nell hadn't expected this as she stared at her phone screen and the comment that read 'nell is a homewrecker'. She couldn't help the frown that graced her features. Ok, that was a bit... harsh? (And uncalled for.)
She wasn't a homewrecker.

The comment had been left on Nell's most recent Instagram post, which (by the way) was a photo of her and Chris. (a photo taken a few months ago of her and Christian; one of Nell's best friends and flatmate.) It hadn't even been of her and Mason! (...as if that would have justified the comment — it wouldn't!)
