As your walking back you see a little girl in need of help.
"Here you go" you say handing her the flower
"Thank you miss!" the girl smiled
You smile as you watch the little girl run away with some other kids
You go to the meeting area were Tanjiro, and Inosuke were.
"Yea, I see " Tanjiro smiled
"And it was like this!" Inosuke said
"Inosuke, I'm sure he gets it" you say
"We should wait a bit longer" Tanjiro said looking over at you
" Oh, the girls and I made something for you guys" you say handing them containers
"Thank you Ms.Y/n" Tanjiro smiled

" Where Zenitsu?" You ask
"I think he just got caught up in something" Tanjiro said
"Oh, alright" You smile
You sit down next to the two boys and watched them enjoy their meal
"I'm glad you learned how to use chopsticks Inosuke" Tanjiro smiled
"Whatever Gonpanchiro" Inosuke said talking with his mouth full of food
"Inosuke, we eat with our mouths closed " you explain
"Ok (mispronounces your name wrong)" Inosuke said looking over at you
As the three of you looked at the view, your hair danced with the wind
"Your hair is really pretty Ms. Y/n!" Tanjiro complimented you
"Thank you, Tanjiro" You smile
"Do you think Mr.Uzui and Zenitsu are going to come, it's a while" Tanjiro asked
"Just give them some time" you say
"Zenitsu's not coming"
"Huh?" You say turning your head
"What do you mean?" Tanjiro asked
"I think I've put you guys in terrible danger " Tengen said with a lower tone
You look at Tengen with concern written all over your face. You didn't know if it was the fact that you've never heard Tengen this upset or the thought of what could've happened to Zenitsu.
"The desire to save my wives has caused me to commit a grave mental error. Zenitsu's where's abouts are currently unknown" Tengen paused
Your eyes widen with tears about to fall out of your eyes
"He stopped contacting me last night after Y/n fell asleep. You two get out of here, your ranks are too low. If the demon here is an upper moon, you can't deal with them. I will regard the people who have stopped sending me letters as dead. From here on forward, Me and Y/n will move on our own" Tengen said standing on the roof
You look at the roof that you were sitting on with tears falling out of your eyes. You felt guilt inside of you, wishing that you could've done something to stop what was happening knowing damn well that it would happen anyway before you could take action.
"No Uzui-San! We-!" Tanjiro protested
"Don't be ashamed. Winners stay alive, don't mess this opportunity up" Tengen said.
And with that he had disappeared.
"Are you alright Ms. Y/n?" Tanjiro asked
You wipe you tears away and stand up
"Tengen's right..." You say looking in the distance
Tanjiro and Inosuke look at each other and looked at you
"This is a dangerous mission and if Zenitsu is dead, I don't need you two going as well..." You say looking at them with a tear rolling down your face
"But L/n-San-!" Tanjiro said
"Go home boys, you are no longer part of this mission anymore " You smile.
You walk away off the roof and go back to the shed that you and Tengen stayed at and walked to the room and sat down covering your mouth crying your eyes out. Sure, Zenitsu was something but that doesn't mean you don't love him.
You hate the fact that you didn't take action when you first thought of the idea of one of the boys going missing. It just had to happen that next day after the thought, you didn't want Tanjiro and Inosuke to miss other parts of life thanks to this mission, you wanted them to be happy with a world of no demons. And you successfully failed that for Zenitsu. For the next couple hours, you cry your eyes out covering your mouth so that no one. Not one person could hear you.
