Heardtale: Robocar Poli arc

"Save Helly": Alternative story (applies to Heardtale, my main AU)

The thought just popped into my head, "What if Helly hadn't left Posty alone but tried to help him get to the mountain hut. This story does not affect the original universe, this version of the story is canon for my AU. some moments are inspired by JapanWolf432. Enjoy reading

'Do you think I'm weak?'...'This way I can prove to everyone that I am not a coward.' These words were reflected in his head, he knew Helly was not a coward and was not weak. He was just worried about him, just like the others. He felt guilty. Poli was checking the town and it looks like everything was fine and everyone was well prepared for the typhoon..

"Posty?" Poli said his friend's name, not expecting to see the mail auto rickshaw

"! Poli." finally greeted him, not suspecting he had surprised the police car with his appearance on the street.

"Where are you going?" Poli asked, not fully understanding what had happened to Posty

"I have to deliver mail to a hut in the mountains." replied Posty, and it seems he did not consider the weather a hindrance to mail delivery but Posty's enthusiasm surprised Poli and he clearly did not think that Posty's enthusiasm would lead the mail auto rickshaw to anything good. Which he said directly but in a mild form to his friend:

"Delivery in this weather? You could be in danger. You better not leave town." Poli said. Of course he can be boring in some ways but he didn't want anyone to get hurt, so sometimes you can hear a slightly strict but at the same time, a tone of concern in his voice. It was in this tone that he said those words to his friend.

"Oh, okay." Posty said, his voice was not as joyful as before. Hearing the answer from Posty and seeing that he drove to his home, Poli drove to the rescue station, hoping Posty really drove to his home, not to the mountains.

"I've tried to contact him more than a hundred times, but he's not answering," Jin said, answering Roy's question. All three rescuers groaned from the answer, Helly really offended them, especially Poli. After all, Poli was the first to protest, and said Helly not to fly on patrol, thoughts were spinning in his head. What if he's in danger? Or unconscious somewhere? But only where? They didn't know where he was or if he would contact them after that....

"If I only knew where he is now, I would help him with the patrol. Helly...where did you fly off to, buddy?" said Poli. But he asked this question to himself rather than others. He just said a part of his thoughts and others heard it, he felt sympathetic glances in his direction. He knew that others also cared about Helly's condition, but they didn't seem surprised to hear those words from Poli and because of this they had an awkward silence. Poli looked at the floor, feeling guilty, and the others were thinking what to say after a minute the silence was broken:

"Hey. Don't beat yourself up like that. We know you were just worried about him, just like we were." Roy said, trying to cheer up his friend.

"Yes. I'm sure he'll understand that we didn't tell him this out of spite." Amber said, agreeing with Roy. Poli looked at them both, then slowly shifted his look to Jin, who in turn nodded, confirming the words of Roy and Amber

"I hope you're right." Poli finally said, smiling sadly, he continued: "Thank you guys." there was a small hope in his voice that Helly would really forgive them, the others smiled when they heard a slight joy in the voice of the police car.

"You're welcome." Jin said, she seemed to remember something and continued: "Guys, I have a request." and Jin voices her request
