It was during a shift at the casino, and the brothers Cuphead and Mugman were leaning against a clear table, a bit tired from work

Cuphead: Damn, I'm exhausted..

Mugman: You can say that again..

Cuphead: It'll be worth it when we get our paychecks!

King Dice: Sure, only a bit, though

Mugman: Thanks, boss! With Cuphead and I's combined, we'll have enough to pay the rent! But, we also need more food, and..

Mug trailed off while talking to himself as he walked off. Dice watched sighed, then headed off to his boss' office

King Dice: Just me, boss

He said as he opened the door. Devil glanced up at his right-hand man before going back to the paperwork on his desk

Devil: Did you need something?

King Dice: Not at all..

Dice went to stand next to Lucifer, leaning on the chair the demon sat on

Devil: You sound bothered

King Dice: *sigh* Well, to be honest, I'm a little worried for the brothers.. They got a lot on their hands..

Devil: They're basically adults. They'll manage..

King Dice: They remind me of myself when I was younger..

Devil: They have each other, dear

King Dice: I-It just pains me to see 'em struggling
