Grian's Perspective

This should be a good spot.

Grian was at the edge of the boarder, no one else was nearby.

Grian suddenly got mad,

It's Scar's fault that we got in this mess. If it weren't for him taking the enchanter, we would be fine. I would still have a base; I wouldn't be dragged into these messes.

I HATE HIM!

Grian sighed as he started digging a hole.

I wish I could have a different soulmate.

"Hey Grian!"

Grian turned around and saw Scar running up to him.

"How did you find me?"

"I just followed you. I saw you boat out and did the same thing."

"How did you make it out alive?"

"I think most of them were surprised that I made the clutch. They texted me later saying that they should've killed me, but they were just so surprised that I had made it." Scar laughed.

"Yeah well, now we're the number one target for the Red Names." Grian said, "But at least you gave them back the enchanter."

Scar didn't say anything.

"Right Scar?!"

Scar started fidgeting with his fingers.

"SCAR!"

"Alright! Alright! So, I don't have it on me... but I did hide it in the panda reserve."

"How?"

"Well, Joel and Etho got distracted with feeding the pandas, and I walked over, out of sight of any of them, and dug down, and hid it in a chest."

"You can't be... ugh." Grian sighed.

"It'll be alright Grian." Scar said, hugging Grian.

Grian blushed and hugged back.

No matter how much I hate you, this is nice.

Suddenly, Grian started crying.

"It's okay, Grian." Scar said softly to calm Grian.

Why am I crying?

"We'll get a new home. We'll be okay. Everything'll be fine."

Grian kept crying.

"I love you." Scar whispered.

Grian caught his breath and stopped crying.

"I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. I understand." Scar said.

"No, you don't." Grian sniffed, "We just lost our home, we're on the run, and everyone wants us dead."

"It'll be okay. We'll work this out."

"No, we won't. It feels like everyone hates us and- and... I just don't want to do this anymore." Grian sobbed.

"I can't do this." He continued, "I just wish..."

"You wish?" Scar asked softly.

"I wish this wasn't how it worked out. We should be on our yellow names so then no one wants us dead."

"No." Scar said sternly, making Grian look up at him.

"You did not just wish to be dead. I will not have that. I love you. I love you more than you know. And I can't live without you. Literally."
