Marinette pov-

My family was going to be pissed when they found out what had happened at school.

I had a feeling that my brothers and sisters were going to go on a homicidal rage when they found out who was behind it, and I had a feeling that I was not going to be able to stop them.

What had happened?

Well, my friends and I were in art class with some GA students, and Lila and Alya were in the class as well. That already spelled disaster. Anyway, the teacher, Mr. Barnes, had instructed us to make the decorations for the Winter dance for school, and everything was going perfectly fine until Lila had walked by me, who was on the floor painting the banner with Alix, Jake Williams, and Dante Martinez, two new friends of mine who hated my class with the exception of my friends, and Damian unfortunately didn't have the class with me, and she 'accidentally' tripped and ended up pouring the two buckets of silver, navy, and light blue paint all over me. The paint soaked my long hair, ruined my clothes, ruined my phone, and had ruined the banner that was close to being halfway done, and to make it look like an accident, she fell and got a little -little- bit of paint on herself as well.

Everything went to a sharp stop at that exact moment, and I couldn't handle being in the room with that snake any longer.

Lila stuttered out an apology that I knew she didn't mean, and I had ignored her and silently left the classroom with my stuff as my 3 friends were yelling at her and Alya, who had immediately involved herself. But, instead of going to the bathroom to try and clean up, I simply left the building and started walking to literally nowhere, wiping the paint off of my face the best I could.

God, I was so pissed right now, but there was nothing I could do at the moment. I wanted to press my bracelet to get Jason, but I was too upset to think straight enough to. My racing heart and overwhelming emotions should have been enough to make him start going after me already. I was already going to get in trouble for ditching school, and my family was going to be worried sick about me, and was going to be lectured all night long, but I didn't care. I just needed out of that school, away from Lila, away from Alya, and to just be alone. I didn't care about anything else, except getting the paint out of my hair.

I was walking down the street when I found myself entering the park, and I spotted the water park part of the beautiful space. Going over there, I was so focused on what I was going to do about getting all the paint out of my hair that I accidentally bumped into someone. I looked up to find Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Riddler all chatting and finishing up some ice cream.

They looked down at me, and gasped. "My God, what happened to ya, Sugar? How'd ya get that paint all over ya, huh?" Harley asked, and I wiped more of it away from my eyes. "Um, I was in class, and I got it poured on me. I was going over to the water thing over there to try and get it out of my hair, since I kinda walked out of school." I quietly said, looking down, and Ivy looked mad. "Who could do such a thing like that to such a sweet girl like you, Sweetheart? Come, Harls and I will help you clean up. Nygma, watch her belongings for us, will you?" she said, putting an arm around my shoulders and guiding me over to the rain head thing.

"What's your name, hon?" Harley asked, and I sneezed. "Marinette. You guys don't have to help me, I can figure this out on my own. I don't want to bother you with my problem." I said, but Ivy shook her head. "Nonsense, Marigold. Can I call you Marigold? I'm calling you Marigold now, and I am adopting you as my niece now. You are also under my protection, and Harley's as well-" "ME TOO!" Riddler shouted over to us, cutting her off, and Harley continued. "Sunlight, we can talk about this later. Right now, we need to get that paint out of your hair and face, Sugar. Come on, we'll help you get it all out, and then we can go kill who got it on you." She said, and for once, I didn't object to the threat on Lila's behalf.
