You already know his back story but ok lets go.
Tanjiro Kamado was born July 14 in the Taisho period. His parents are Tanjuro and Kie Kamado. He was the first born child of Five. His siblings are Nezuko, then Takio, then Hanako, then Shigeru, and finally the youngest Rokuta. He felt as thought it was his responsibility to protect them as the Oldest, so that's what he did. When he was at the age of six, his younger brother Takio accidentally knocked over a large jar with a tea kettle on top. Tanjiro rushed forward and grabbed Takio knocking him to the ground. Tanjiro laid down on top of him leaving his body exposed and obtained the burn scar on his forehead we all saw in the first episode.
However around the age of four Tanjuro preformed the Himino kage kagura in front of his son leaving him enthralled and wanting to learn more. Years passes and Tanjiro take's over the Coal burning business after the death of his father. He did so with pride and honored his father by doing all he could to help his family. His entire life was filled with happiness from the beginning up until that traumatic day.
