I let out a breath of relief once I finally made it back to my room unnoticed. Sneaking through our dorm was like walking through a minefield in pure darkness. However, with my heightened vision, I had thankfully made it to the safe confinements of my room.

12:08. The alarm clock illuminated the dark room with a dim green glow, flashing the numbers. I collapsed on my bed, jumping up moments later when Yoora opened my door.

I cleared my throat, making sure the ring was stuffed safely in my coat pocket before greeting her.

"Hi, Yoora."

"Rina, have you seen Mila's ring around here anywhere? She's set on you stealing it but I don't think that's the case." She had a light pout on her face and it made me feel guilty that she trusted me, a total stranger, that much.

"No, I'm sorry. What does it look like?"

"Well, it's small so it fits around her ring finer. It has a red jewel on it, like...a ruby! Yes and it's silver with little writing on the side of it." She formed little shapes with her hand while describing the ring, making me smile.

"I'll keep an eye out for it, okay?"

She nodded before turning to go back to her room.

"Wait Yoora." She paused and turned around, a small smile graced her lips.

"Yes?"

"What are you still doing up?"

"I was waiting for you. I was worried because you were out so late," she flashed a wider smile as I nodded and said goodnight. She returned to her room, shutting the door behind her.

She was worried...about me?

I took off my shoes and landed on my bed with a soft thud before pulling the ring out of my pocket. I flipped it over in my fingers, examining every small detail.

This is it...

I'm finally going to get home.

I gently slid the ring over my finger, my eyes widening in wonder when a red light flashed, creating an orb of glowing stars around my room. And through those entanglements of stars, seven red strings.

The next morning was a blur. Not really because of time's events, but because of the discovery I just made.

My professor is one of the life sources.

I hadn't thought about the ring all morning. Overnight, the dazzling red stars had disappeared and the strings were gone. So I naturally forgot I had it.

Well until I entered the classroom next to the familiar group of chemicals. The ring, deciding to make an appearance exploded in bright light, the stars appearing once more. And one, bright red string leading straight to Mr. Min who sat deep in thought at his desk.

I sat down, acting like nothing had happened even though I was practically blinded by the bright light.

I can't believe it. I've been sitting in front of the souls since the 2nd or 3rd day.

Now all I needed to do was-

My cheeks flushed red when I recalled what Jungkook and Namjoon had said.

They'd make the sources fall in love with them.

I don't know about them, but me personally? I don't think I have that ability.
