Music In The Park

A woman in the park

Singing while playing guitar

The woman is all alone

Except me and a girl who's on her phone

The woman sings beautifully

Oh, how it pleases the ear

And the girl pretends she doesn't hear

But we both know we listen intently

Me in my yard, listening to the music

All the time, wondering if

She is old or simply fifty

But too afraid to go and see.
