Sunshine shown down over the expanse of Adventure Bay and the surrounding areas. A light breeze flowed through the air as a comfortable heat welcomed the
new day. Summer weather had started to arrive, and the days were getting much warmer and longer. Higher temperatures meant more fun and activities, and the expanded sunlight gave everyone more time to accomplish their plans.

Over at The Lookout, the base and headquarters of the PAW Patrol, the team were getting ready to start the day. Ryder, the leader and sole human of the
group, walked out of the base of the tower with Chase, the German Shepherd police pup of the group - as well as Ryder's chosen second-in-command of the PAW Patrol. Both were preparing to wake up the other pups for the beautiful
day before them.

In the puphouses around the base of The Lookout slept the other five pups on the team. There was a Dalmatian named Marshall, the fire pup/EMT pup of the team. Snoring peacefully was Rubble, an English Bulldog who was a construction pup, builder, and heavy equipment operator. Next up slept Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Zuma, the water rescue pup who could
work both in and out of the water. Right after him lay a grey Mixed Breed pup named Rocky, the recycling and repair/mechanic pup of the group. In the last puphouse, curled up in a ball, slept a cream colored Cockapoo named Skye. She was the aviator/air rescue pup of the PAW Patrol. Although she was
the only female pup of the six, she didn't mind it one bit. Her best friend, a Husky named Everest, was a fellow female pup who was also a member of the
team, although she didn't live with the main six pups at The Lookout. Alas, Skye immensely enjoyed the five boys and the way they treated her. She felt like a lady and could always count on them if she ever needed help. As the Cockapoo's body began to exit her slumber, her wonderful dreams began to fade out bit by
bit.

"Good morning pups! It's time to rise and shine!"

Skye rubbed her eyes and began to stretch at the sound of Chase's wakeup call. The police pup used his megaphone to wake up the others each morning as part
of his second-in-command duties. Some days the others dreaded it due to lack of sleep or deep slumber, but on others they welcomed it with gleeful energy.
Today was the latter for Skye. Although her dreams were interrupted, she didn't mind as her body was filled with life. Besides, she didn't mind being awaken by
HIS voice.

The Cockapoo stepped outside her puphouse to the sunny morning greeting her. She looked to her right and saw Chase several yards away talking to
Marshall outside of the Dalmatian's red puphouse. Skye sighed in content as she stared at the police pup talking to his friend. "Good morning, handsome," she said in her head. "Wish I could tell you that face-to-face."

Skye had a huge crush on her German Shepherd friend; and would even say her feelings were a bit deeper than that. Both were very good friends and had grown
close to one another, but she wasn't quite sure if he felt the same way towards her. Deep down she wanted to be more than friends, but was always slightly timid around the police pup out of fear of going overboard. She had told Everest
about how she felt towards Chase a while ago, so maybe her Husky friend could help her more next time they met up.

The pilot pup walked up to Chase and Marshall as the others walked out of their puphouses to join them. "What's up, guys?" she chimed in as the two boys
turned towards her.

"Good morning, Skye," Chase smiled at her as Marshall said 'hello' and waved. "Did you have a great night?"

The Cockapoo yipped as she smiled sweetly and looked the police pup in the eyes. "You betcha! I slept like a baby and dreamed like it too. Hehe!"

"That's good," Marshall nodded. "I think I sleep-walked around my puphouse because I woke up on the opposite side that I lay down on. Anyway, last night I
dreamed of being a knight and ventured through a forest made of french fries, and I had to face a giant, four-eyed troll wielding a club made of fish, and then I
went to a giant tower of Styrofoam to save my princess pup and we rode away
to safety on a giant parrot who roared like a lion!! Or a tiger. I can't quite remember." The Dalmatian took deep breaths as he tried to recover from
explaining his dream in one sentence.
