"Patronuses! Who knows what they are?" Remus asks his class, Maisey was barely paying attention which Remus noticed. "May?" Remus questions.

"Yes Pops?" She looks up grinning.

"Do you know what a patronus is?" He asks.

"Obviously." Maisey says rolling her eyes. "It's a magic animal spell to ward off dementors, yours is a wolf, mum's is a fox, uncle james' is a stag, aunt lily's is a doe, uncle pete's a rat, and uncle sirius' is a dog."

"Correct." Remus smiles. "Patronuses often reflect one's own personality. The incantation is expecto patronum, let's try saying it without our wands first alright?"

"Expecto patronum!" The class says in unison.

"Fantastic! Who wants to give casting their patronuses a try?" Remus asks and every student's hand shot up, he grinned at this.

Cho went first and her patronus was a beautiful swan that glided around her head. She smiled happily as she sat back down.

"Of course you got a graceful one, mine will probably be a fucking kangaroo or something." Maisey whispers to Cho who laughed.

Other students in the class went next, there were many different types of dogs, cats, horses, birds, and even one elephant. Finally it was Maisey's turn to try.

"Remember honey, expecto patronum." Remus encourages quietly. She nodded as she got her wand ready.

"Expecto patronum!" She yelled out and a silvery dolphin floated out of her wand and around her head.

"Very nice May!" Remus says happily as she sat back down in her seat letting other students have a turn casting their patronuses

maze: yeah you and george have magpies
which are a type of annoying ass bird
but they're also one of the most intelligent
animals in the world
georgie: correct :)

cho: because he's the human
