They lay, adjusting themself to the sound of slumber.

Tears escape as their eyes squint open, yawning and watching the reality unfold. The wood logs layered and attached to create this room greet them with their warmth, casting a joyful spell on them.

This is a timestamp.

The door creaks open, a soft voice mumbling worry written in all of it, Azrael turns their gaze at a frail-bodied boy, blinking their eyes and smiling as they notice his recognizable attributes, "yes?" The person approaches slow, any defense the younger has to be at their lowest, "what do you need?" Pure silence, agitating. "What."

A wheeze escapes this half-wit's mouth, reminding the child of the positive side of their relationship.

"I know it's been like-" The brother stops to roll his eyes for an estimation, "really... long time but," he hands a twig, making Azrael reminisce about everything they witnessed with this object, "here you go."

 "oh... Thank you..?"

"You're welcome."

The vast conversation turned into small flaccid talk, causing the two to begin a new discussion with peculiar questions and answers. Turning questions into debates, neither siblings retreat on their opinions.

They reach a solemn topic, one that may bring closure to their minds, it's a dangerous solution, full of salt and escapism—this household is comfortable not, though running away may be overreactive.
