Third Person Pov:

"lord Beckett, the prisoner as ordered sir" said one of the guards as they brought in William Turner.

"Those won't be necessary" Beckett said as he pointed towards the cuffs that William still had strapped on his wrists.

The guard then walked up towards William and started taking off the cuffs as Beckett was pouring in some drinks.

"The East India trading company has need of your services" Beckett said as he looked towards William.

William didn't say anything but just looked at Beckett, Beckett then put down his drink and walked away somewhere else in the room.

"We wish for you to act as our agent in a business transaction with our mutual friend Captain Sparrow"

"More acquaintance. How do you know him" William asked

"We've had dealings in the past"

"And we've each left our mark on the other" Beckett said as he picks up a small thin metal pole with the letter P on it.

"What mark did he leave on you?" William asked

Beckett didn't say anything but just put the pole down.

"By your efforts, Jack Sparrow was set free"

"I would like you to go to him and recover a certain property in his possession" Beckett said as he walked towards William and took a sip of his drink.

"Recover. At the point of a sword?" William asked

"Bargain" Beckett said as he set his cup down.

He then walked to a small chest and opened it revealing a small dark brown journal.

"Letters of marque" Beckett said as he held the journal up

"You will offer what amounts to a full pardon" Beckett said as he opened the journal

"Jack will be free, a privateer in the employ of England"

"Somehow I doubt Jack will consider employment the same as being free"

"Freedom" Beckett mumbled as he put the journal back in the box and closed it

"Jack Sparrow is a dying breed" Beckett said as he and William walked outside to the balcony

"The world is shrinking, the blank edges of the map filled in"

"Jack must find his place in the new world or perish"

"Not unlike you, Mr Turner"

"You and your fiancée face the hangman's noose"

"So you get Jack and the Black Pearl"

"The Black Pearl?" Beckett asked

"The property you want he possesses" William said

"A ship? Hardly, the item in question is considerably smaller and far more valuable, something Sparrow keeps on his person at all times" Beckett said

"A compass?" William asked

"Ah, you know it" Beckett said

"Bring back that Compass or there's no deal" Beckett said then walked away
