Chapter 3 Four Years Later

Mom and Dad came to pick us up. We returned home, where we used to go to school. Everything was still the same, besides the fact that Sam and I had grown up and changed. Remember how I used to be fat with acne? Now, I'm slimmed with nicely toned muscles. Ever since losing the weight, I've also lost all the baby fat in my cheeks, which allowed my sharp features to be seen. My acne had cleared up about two years ago, leaving me with an unscathed face.

Flashback

"Look at you, in that black cocktail dress," Damon said. After getting to know him better, I learned that he loved teasing people. As close friends, I knew that he was always joking around, but to a third person, it would seem as if he was flirting with me. He was leaning, casually, on the wall opposite of my bathroom in his black dress shirt and dress pants. We are having a practice session today for 'Fitting in' and Damon was my partner. He started walking towards me, his eyes traveling up and down my body.

"You like what you're seeing?" I countered. This was a game that only Damon and I could play. Sam would have been really pissed if he was here.

"What do you think?" he asked, as he spun me around. I was planning on stopping myself from spinning across the room, but I had lost my balance and fell. Damon caught me by my waist before I landed on the floor. None of us had expected it to happen, but Damon continued to play it cool, pretending that he had just dipped me in the middle of a dance. "You have really sexy curves," he whispered into my ear. "And you're wearing the perfume that I gave you," he commented, before helping me into a standing position.

I walked over to my closet and started to put on my black stilettos. "You're such a pedophile, you know?" I asked Damon over my shoulder.

"That hurts, Victoria," he said, using his hurt voice. He's one of two people that call me by my middle name. "And I like the view back here," he whispered, loud enough that I could hear him. Damon can never be serious for even a second, unless he's doing his job.

I shook my head. "How would your girlfriend like it if she heard you say that?" I asked, as I straightened up and walked towards him.

"Oh, who needs her when you're here?" he continued, teasingly.

"Dude, we're going to be late for practice," I said, as he trailed like a lost puppy behind me.

"I would like that," he said, grabbing my hand as he picked up his pace to walk next to me.
