"I'm sorry I just can't do it," I stare back at the lobster sitting on my plate

"I'm sorry I just can't do it," I stare back at the lobster sitting on my plate.

Steven laughs at me, "Why? It tastes great, just give it a go."

"I swim with these guys, I can't just eat their brother." I shake my head and lean away from Conrad who is waving his lobster's leg in my face.

"So Cam," Jeremiah starts, grabbing everyone's attention. "You mind if I call you Cam Cameron?"

"Yeah man feel free, it's funny," Cam responds not picking up on Jere's edge.

"I'm glad you're here Cameron, I know your mom Denise from the club. I have heard a lot about you" Susannah smiles at him.

"Thank you so much for having me Susannah," He returns politely, "My mom says hi."

"Cam have you ever had miyeok-guk before? It's a Korean birthday tradition," Laurel explains handing him a dish.

"Nope, but it looks so good, thank you."

"Belly told me you're vegetarian so I didn't put any meat in it."

"Why don't you eat meat, Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah mocks, what is with him today?

"The meat industry is like the number one contributor to global warming, and, as Amaya says, I like animals."

"Thank you, at least someone gets it," I laugh.

"Just don't come for my leather jacket," Taylor jokes.

"I'm pretty sure you mean pleather," Steven retaliates. Taylor sticks her middle finger up in return, I knew I liked her for a reason.

"You know Belly eats meat?" Jere continues, "You let her kiss you with those lips?"

"Guys?" Belly rolls her eyes at them, not having it. "Stop."

"No, I don't judge people for eating meat. It's just like a personnel choice, I don't care." Cam responds, unbothered.

"So you don't mind if her lips touch a dead animal, and then those dead animal lips touch yours right?" Jeremiah laughs. I stamp forcefully on his foot. "Ow," He glares at me.

"I don't mind at all... In fact" Cam leans over to Belly and pecks her on the lips. I cringe at the silence that follows before Steven and Jeremiah pretend to gag.

"All right, Belly's allowed to kiss," Laurel calms the situation down... "But that's it," she laughs... never mind.

"Mom, please stop, you're not funny," Belly says through gritted teeth. "No more wine for you, okay?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand why anybody would want to kiss somebody who once fully shat in a bathtub." I roll my eyes at Steven, what is with the boys deliberately embarrassing Belly during her birthday dinner in front of Cam?

"I was like two years old."

"Two! More like six!" Jere and Steven scoff.

"Shut up Steven!" Belly groans.
