Nine: I Really Needed You

~~Before the accident~~

Kageyama walked down the street, heading for the convenience store. Ever since Hinata hadn't been able to hit, he hadn't come to practice.

And that bothered him.

Kageyama walked inside the store, sighing again. What was going on with Hinata anyway? Normally, he would be able to hit and get it over with.

But now...

Kageyama grabbed a Popsicle and a box of strawberry Pocky.

Was the problem him? Or was it Hinata?

Kageyama groaned and ruffled his hair, annoyed.

His head hurt, thinking this much.

He paid for the snacks he bought and walked outside into the hot, mild summer air. He opened his Popsicle and took a bite.

His teeth went numb.

Bad move.

Kageyama made a face and walked home.

Tomorrow, he would try and get Hinata to come to practice tomorrow.

It just wasn't the same with him.

A blinding flash of light startled Kageyama, and he only had time to turn his head before his body was smashed.

His last thought was:

I really needed Hinata.
