Daughter of Silence

Crimson eyes,

Demonic crimson orbs of fire.

I felt my palms sweat as I looked in her eyes,

Into her soul stealing eyes of darkness.

The orbs captured my unwavering attention

As I saw hatred, sorrow, anguish, and utter loneliness.

Ebony hair,

Long locks of charred ebony hair.

Damaged from the eons of the fire's dance,

Swirling around her like a cloak made of black flames.

Her hair, despite the fraying, shimmers softly

As if it was not hair, but strands onyx or ebony.

Blue skin,

Scarred and turned a pale blue of death.

Thin lines of silvery blue trail along her skin,

Showing the abuse from the many wars and battles she had fought.

The tinge of blue death paints her skin lightly,

As if revealing how cruel death's cold touch was upon her.

Quiet voice,

A voice nearly silenced by years of screaming.

Melodies once sung by an angelic voice,

Now twisted into the guttural growls of the cursed.

Silence speaks louder than words can ever try,

Echoing her anger, frustration, spite, and despair.
