CHAPTER 4: LOVE & PAIN
Reeve invited him to the newly constructed hotel and vacation home in Apollo Beach Resort on the private island he bought from his earnings a few years ago.
"What's with the invitation?" Maang niyang tanong. He asked when someone called him on the phone.
"Have you forgotten the Alpha Team Reunion?" Reeve asked him. He frowned.
No one reminded him about that matter. He was freaking busy with his all appointments this week. He felt ridiculous. Simula noong umuwi siya galling Australia, his friends started to reconnect with him. Samo't-saring imbitasyon na ang kanyang natatanggap. Birthday celebrations, business gatherings, and a lot more. Nasapo niya ang noo sa dami niya gustong gawin ngunit hindi niya mauukupa dahil sa inaasikaso sa kumpanya.
"Sorry... I've been very busy these past few days." He sighed. He was fixing the stuff on his table before he leaves in the office, habang ang isang kamay niya ay nakahawak sa kanyang phone, kinakausap ang pinsan.
"Ikaw na ang bahala sa iba pa nating kasamahan and cousins. My secretary emailed all of them but only a few are responding to the invitation. Hey, don't forget about Nic and Darren. How's Johann by the way? Nagkita kayo?" His voice sounds tired.
"Yeah, yeah. I just don't know if he will come or not. Anyway, can I skip this event? Things are filing up—"
"Oops. It's been six years since you haven't attended. This time, you have no reasons to excuse yourself but to come." Putol nito sa mga sasabihin niya.
"Kuya Reeve—"
Hindi na niya natapos ang sasabihin dahil agad nitong pinutol ang tawag.
"Fvck!" Napamura siya habang nakatingin sa cellphone.
Maya-maya ay tumunog ang message notification ng cellphone niya.
[We will be expecting you to come to our reunification assembly. Alpha team brotherhood in SL Fraternity]
Text ni Kuya Reeve. Napahilot siya sa noo. Another event that he needs to ditch. Hindi niya alam kung makakapunta siya nito. Mamaya tatawagan niya ang mga pinsan dahil tiyak niya na abala din ang mga ito sa kani-kanilang personal affairs. He forwarded the message to Nicholas.
[I can't. Just leave me alone for this. ] Nicholas replied.
Natawa siya sa reply ng kanyang pinsan. Masyadong nadala sa unexpected arranged marriage ng mga magulang. If he has time bibisitahin niya ito.
"Buti nga sayo." He commented kahit hindi siya nito naririnig.
"God, nasaan na ba ako?" Tanong niya sa sarili habang nalilito sa mga nagkalat na documents sa mesa kung ano ang uunahin sa dami niyang narereceived na tawag sa personal niyang number. For the meantime, pinatay niya ang cellphone upang makapagconcentrate sa trabaho. Marami pa talaga siyang tatapusin. Everyone who is reaching him, friends, cousins, women, can all wait.

He hurriedly went to Nic's office. Kinindatan niya lamang ang secretary sa labas at napakunot noo lamang ito bago siya tuloy-tuloy na dumeretso sa loob ng opisina.
"Hello! How's the only child of Tito Will? Loaded of work?"
He raised his voice as he opened the door and got inside.
