"it's a hit!" coyote yelled out making me let out a breath

"thank god" i mumbled

we made it above radar and the sams starting firing missiles at us

"coyote tell me when you see smoke-"

he cut me off, freaking out a bit "smoke in the air"

i hit the red button that was labeled 'flares' multiple times so the missile will bow up

"holy shit" i said, this is crazy

"more smoke scout" he told me and i hit the red button again

i flew past rooster and said "there's one on you roost"

"i'm out of flares!" he exclaimed "i can't shake them off either!"

my heart fell when i saw maverick cover for him, it took him down

"shit! oh my god" i yelled out "mavericks down!" i said as phoenix said the same

"no! mav!" rooster said "dagger one come in!"

"i didn't see a parachute" i worried, but not as much as rooster

"we need to circle back!" rooster told us

"all daggers fly back to ecp"

"what about mav?" rooster asked

now it was jakes voice to come in "dagger spare, request to launch and provide air cover"

what? no

"negative" it was silent for a second "dagger you are not to engage. repeat, do not engage"

"roosters those bandits are closing, we can't go back" phoenix spoke

"rooster, he's gone" bob sighed "mavs gone"

we all started to fly back, when we notice that rooster was not with us

"where's roost?" i asked, i looked behind me and saw an explosion but also a parachute "dagger 2 is down, i saw a parachute"

"oh my god" i heard phoenix say "they better come back"

as soon as i landed i ran with phoenix and coyote to where they were keeping a radio on standby

"they're airborne" i heard an admiral say

"that's not possible"

we then heard them say something about seeing a f-14 in the air

"it can't be"

"maverick" we heard after a few seconds

i jumped and squealed in excitement. i gave phoenix a hug then i gave one to coyote

"thank god" i say and they both laughed at me "i'm so happy right now"

as if the universe felt i was happy.

the radio went back on and we heard that maverick and rooster were in some trouble. just don't know how bad

"dagger spare, request to launch and provide air cover"
jake asked again and he got permission to fly and help

i ran to jakes landed plane and waited for him to get out of it.

as soon as he got out i ran and jumped onto him, giving him a huge hug with my legs around his waist.

"i'm so glad your okay" i tell him and he just laughed at me

"me?" he looked at me like i was crazy "god , i was so scared something was gonna happen to you"

before i could talk he kissed me, i slid off his body and smiled at him "i told you i would come back to you"

he smirked and pointed behind us, mav and roost had landed

we ran over to them and after phoenix hugged rooster, i pulled him into a hug "don't do that again"

he laughed and shook his head "i'm not planning on it" he told me making me smile

jake shook roosters hand and rooster said "shot yourself another kill"

jake smirked "that makes 2"

phoenix cut in and said "mav has 5, makes him an ace"

we all laughed and nodded "what are we still doing here? let's got celebrate" i said

i scoffed at jake and pouted "i'm sorry that you suck at pool" he told me and i shoved his shoulder

"bitch" i mumbled and walked away, heading to the bar

"hey lexi" penny greeted me with a smile "heard the news! good job"

i smiled and leaned up against the bar "thank you penny"

"what do you want? it's on the house" she told and i rolled me eyes, about to speak but she cut me off "i insist, you deserve it"

"okay" i paused "can i have a margarita"

she looked at me with a slightly confused face, "huh" she then grabbed a cup "on the rocks?"

"you know it" i winked at her with a smirk
