i sat on the curb outside of the bar, eying to get an uber to pick me up but no one is around.
i heard footsteps coming toward me "whatcha doing?" i looked up and saw hangman "need a ride home?"
"yes please"i held me hand out for him to pull me up and he did "thank you" i told him
i followed him to his truck and once we got in and he started driving, no where near any houses
"where are we going?" i asked him and he shh me as we pulled up into a parking lot of the beach "you do know that the bar was on the beach right"
"yeah i know" he got out of the truck "but this is peaceful"
i got out of the truck too and caught up with him "what are we doing at the beach"
"i dunno" he said stopping when we made it about 10 feet from the water and he just plopped down in the sand making me laugh
he grabbed my hand and pulled me down next to him "you know when i said that i missed you snarky comments that didn't mean you had to give them to rooster"
he looked at me and shrugged "yeah bu-"
i cut him off "you didn't have to be a total dick all the time" he scoffed at me "why can't you just be like how you are with me"
"then people will think i'm a big baby" he said putting his hands back to keep him steady
"you are a big baby hangman" i told him and he shook his head
"am not" he pouted "and don't call me hangman when we're alone, it's weird"
i looked at him confused "how is it any different?"
he shrugged "i don't it just is"
i nodded, putting my legs over his "okay jake" i smirked at him "so how have you been? any girls?"
"nope no girls" he told me and i gasped "i know right, it's so hard to believe"
"why no girls? thought they would be all head over heels for you" i looked at him, his eyes were glistening in the moon light
"trust me they were" he said cockily "but none of the were you"
i felt my face redden, i looked away from him, grabbing some sand in my hand and i threw it at him
"really lex?" he laughed "that's how it's gonna be"
"guess so" i shrugged with a smile on my face "sooooo" i dragged out the 'o's
"so" he copied me " what about you any guys?" he asks
i nodded "one guy" i told him
"still a thing?" he asked me, sitting up making my feet fall off of his legs
"nope" i told him and he hummed
"that's good" he said making me look at him with a smirk
"why's that good?" i asked him moving my knees up to my chest and i squeezed my legs with my arms
"because then he's not in the way of us" he said quietly
