Ephesians 6:1-3 (Holman Christian Standard Bible version)
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right. Honor your father and mother-which is the first commandment with a promise-that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land."
Well, here we see that God commands us to obey our parents. I know, I know, it's hard to obey them. Sometimes we think we know what to do because we're already grown ups.
WAIT! First,let me tell you that, though you're already grown up, your parents still have authority over you... Admit it, sometimes we go up their authority and we disobey. We must know that our parents want the best for us.
Is obeying your parents right? Of course,God wants us to obey them. This is just and right. It's the first commandment that if we obey our mom or dad, it may go well with you.
