The bitter taste on her lips, as thick smoke ties a noose
the bone sticking out from her hips, all the weight she wants to loose
The hot blood drawn from a razor, the body wants to betray her
her bloodshot eyes, the high she feels
the terrible lies, it all reveals
all the long nights, sitting outside
sliced by cold wind that bites, thinking of dreams that died
the floor is so cold, while she lie and weep
but there she hold, falling in a pit so deep
an angel now comes, bringing the light
a soft song she hums, scaring away all the fright
"its okay" she assured, lifting the sorrow like a boulder
come with me, she lured, "you can always cry on my shoulder."
The broken put down her rope, she got to her feet
looked up for hope, "This is something I can beat."
a smile stretched across her face, the first one in an age
now in her happy place, she turns over a new page.
