Somewhere, in the deepest and darkest part of the cave, a growl shivers the feathers of the flock of seagulls keeping warm far away at the cave's open and frozen mouth. Even the rocks from the ceiling crumble and hit a few on the top of their heads, creating complains and red bumps. The glowworms mock the night sky, twinkling like stars on the ceiling's surface.

Hungry and tired of being cooped up, a seagull grumbles, "Where is Scuttle with our fish?" Her tiny three chicks keep warm underneath her feathers

Hungry and tired of being cooped up, a seagull grumbles, "Where is Scuttle with our fish?" Her tiny three chicks keep warm underneath her feathers. "The cave's hungrier than us!"

"I thought he was best friends with the princess of the sea," another rolled their black eyes. "Maybe he knows he's caught in a lie and won't come back!"

Many others blew raspberries between their orange beaks, unbelieving. "Pffffttt."

One seagull stands proudly on their two webbed feet. He's been waiting for Scuttle to mess up in front of the entire flock. Now was his chance to shine instead! "I'll go get us food!"

Outside the cave's opening, the snow rumbles on, the ocean a fury in the winter storm.

All the seagulls give this particular brave one a look.

"How are you going to do that with the storm?" the question is asked, echoing against the rocks of the cave

The seagull flies to the open mouth, already shivering in the wind's cold against their feathers. "By not going out there!" They turn on their heels, pointing to the cave's other end—to the deep and dark and scary part. "There! I'll find us food back there."
