"Mia Principessa dove sei stata?" grandpa asks [my princess where have you been]
"I was at a friend's house, what are you guys doing here?"
"Your birthday is coming up so we came to spend it with you!" my grandma cheered
My birthday? No one has celebrated my birthday
"You guys came for my birthday? my birthday isn't in like a month ?" I ask like I couldn't believe it
"We wanted to spend time with you and know you better so we came a month earlier " my uncle Dante said
Everyone nods their heads in agreement
"why? my birthday isn't even worth the attention -" I rant but am cut off by dad
"Valentina I'll tell you this one time so listen up. Everything about you is worth our attention, your birthday is worth attention. Everything is worth our attention no matter how big or small" dad expresses cupping my cheeks
I felt tears well up in the corner of my eyes threatening to fall
I know I have said this before but I am glad I found my family and glad to be able to call a place home
I hug dad tightening my hold on him just in case he would disappear
Dad hugs me back and whispers into my ear
"We aren't going anywhere"

I choke on my water
"Yeah, any boys or girls you're interested in V?" Xavier says giving me a smirk
"Shut up Xavier" I mumble
I clear my throat "not at the moment Zia" [aunt]
"Then whose clothes are those? it's guys clothes too" my other aunt Asked with an amused look
I internally slap myself
How could I forget that I am still wearing Nico clothes?
"It's Lucas's clothes. Ivy and I slept over at Lucas and I forgot to bring extra clothes" I answer hoping that will stop them from asking more questions
"who is Lucas?"
"who is ivy?"
