y/n's pov:

it was just another boring day, same routine, wake up, walk at the park, repeat.

i had just moved to toronto and it's the summer, the last month of summer.

i was so scared because i was starting school in only a week, a week!

but i felt as if i was ready, i think i could make friends.

it won't be so hard would it?

i got up and got dressed, i walked downstairs to see nobody home.

as per usual.

i sit down at my tv and turn it on.

then i put on a specific channel.

"... welcome back to four towns biggest concerts! today, we're gonna talk about there performance at the hontoko stage in japan! they got live animals to be apart of it too!"

"what!?"

i yelled at my tv.

i threw the remove on the couch and inched closer to the screen.

my eyes started to glow from the tv's light.

"what up guys, it's your boy robarie, today we're performing in hontoko japan and we got a large crowd here!"

robarie, one of the four town members said to the camera.

"robarie!"

i said as i pushed my self back on my couch.

"and this is our set up! so first, we ordered a bunch-

the channel suddenly switched.

"huh!?"

i said as i looked to my left.

my little brother, stole the remote and changed the channel.

"oh hey sis, sorry... it's saturday, and you know what that means! real life wildness is on!"

"what!? come on junior i was here first! that's the rules!"

"well, that's too bad because now i'm in control."

"ugh!"

"relax, i'll record it for you. you won't miss your stupid little boy band's "documentary.""

"it's not stupid! its four town!"

"right, stupid."

"ugh! i'm going for a walk i'll be right back."

"do whatever you want, just be back for lunch. mom's gonna be upset."

"yeah, yeah."

i grabbed my flip phone and put it in my pocket.

then i walked out the house.

the sounds of cars passing by, and the smell of fresh food coming from the market down the street was so nice.

this place wasn't so bad, beats ohio.

i walked to my nearest park, seeing people with families, friends, and pets. it was nice.

then i hear music playing from a distance.

is that...

"... you wanted it! you went for it!"

i turned around to see a group of girls my age.

they had a boom box on the floor and it looked like they were rehearsing 'you know what's up' from four town!

i gasped.

i quickly ran up to them.

"oh my gosh! i'm sorry, i know you don't know me but... i love four town!"

they paused the boom box.

"oh hey, really? we do too!"

a girl with a green beanie said.

"ugh aren't they so amazing! who's your bias?"

i asked them.

"bias?"

they all looked at eachother.

"oh! like your favorite one right!?"

a short girl with straight hair said.

"yeah! they use that mainly for k-pop artists but it goes for boy bands too!"

"ooh! i love robarie, he's my favorite."

a girl with short black hair said.

"oh em gee same! he's just so..."

"dreamy."

you both said at the same time.

"don't get me started on tae-young."

abby said, as she sighed.

"and jesse, he's cool."

a girl with curly ish hair said.

"ugh right! it's so hard to find four townie's around here! i mean, i know i've been here for only two months but... like wow!"

"you just moved here!? what school are you going to next week!?"

the girl with the beanie asked.

"oh, uhhh i think it's lester b pearson-

"what!? no way! we go there too!!"

the girl with short black hair interrupted me.

"that's great!! finally, some new friends."

we laughed.

"oh, i'm meilin, this is miriam."

she pointed to beanie girl.

"sup."

"this is abby."

"heyo!"

abby held up a peace sign.

"and this is priya."

"yo."

she said.

"cool! i'm y/n."

"ooh great, here's my number, you should text us some time. we'd love for you to join us!"

"of course!!"

we started exchanging numbers.

suddenly my phone rang.

i picked it up.

"where are you? hm?"

my mom yelled at my through the phone.

"oh... i'm- i'm just... at the park, mom."

"come home, now."

"yes, mom coming."

i shut the phone off.

"uhm, i got to go."

"don't worry, parents are the worst."

miriam said.

"well, don't forget they also gave you life!"

mei added.

i nodded.

"well thanks you guys, i'll keep in touch. see you all later!"

i said as i walked home.

they seem really nice, i'm excited to start a new life, with new friends.
