He knew it wasn't right for his heart to continue like this. Especially when he didn't want to get his hopes up for some stupid reason like a kiss.

A kiss could mean a lot of things

Passionate

Drunk

And he didn't want to delve into it because he knew that if his sensei didn't like him back he would only wind up hurt in the end.

But as he sat there in Kakashis arms watching yet another movie he couldn't help but hope.
And he could see his future with this man bright as day
Wrapped in his arms, the small kisses of acknowledgement, the quiet yet enjoyable days, the playful teasing... The passionate nights.

He could see it all happening right before his eyes and all the white haired make had to do was wrap one arm around his shoulder and crossed over his chest while he laid his head in the crook of the older males neck.

"Naruto... I have to ask... And I know it's something you don't want to talk about... But I'm worried, I'm so worried I did something wrong, something that will mess everything up if you just let it go" Kakashi said not paying any attention to the movie even though his eyes where on it

Naruto almost couldn't handle it, Kakashi had been picking away at an egg shell like a large stone to be chissled into like a statue.

"Kakashi... I don't know... I'm afraid that if I do say... You would run away" Naruto said as he tried to hide further I to Kakashis neck

'this is normal, this is what close friends do, they cuddle... This is normal' he repeated in his head

"Naruto" Kakashi whispered as he shifted his masked lips to be right above Naruto's ear "please... I just need to know" Kakashi said as he pulled Naruto closer by the waist

"It's hard to say it... I want to, but I'm scared Kakashi sensei" Naruto said no longer able to keep his eyes on the screen

"Scared of what?" He asked

"I'm scared... That you'll leave me, that you would hate me for it, or say it really wasn't a big deal because it meant nothing to you" he tried not to cry as he held his tears back harshly

"Then... Show me, Naruto" Kakashi said and his voice got deeper as he pulled Narutos face closer by the chin

Naruto couldn't help but get lost in the multi colored eyes as he drew closer and closer while Kakashi grabbed his mask with two fingers and slowly tugged it down

It made it past his nose and Naruto was so close he could feel the air from Kakashi

Then as the mask was about to slip past his lips

Naruto awoke with a jolt and looked around the room noticing the empty bowl of popcorn on the floor and the shut off projector.

He looked beside him to see a soundly sleeping Kakashi and he noticed that the ninja head band was placed on a night table and his green vest was on the floor next to it signifying how comfy he was
The blinds where shut so it appeared dark except for the small rays  of light that peaked through the gaps to let the dust particles catch sun

"Just a dream" he whispered to himself and put a hand over his forehead, slightly disappointed by the lack of a reality to match his dream.

"What was" kakashi said and Naruto jumped slightly
"Don't scare me like that Kakashi sensei!" Naruto said and Kakashi chuckled in his deep morning voice

"Sorry, didn't mean to, what did you dream about to look so disappointed right now" he asked curiously and Naruto blushed

This was it
That sweet smile that Kakashi gave him with the one closed Sharingan eye, the light tug of his lips that was ever so visible through his mask, the way he propped his head up on one shoulder and looked at Naruto like he was the only thing in the room

This... Was definitely it
He could feel himself cracking

And so finally, the way Kakashi chissled at the egg shell must not have been enough, because the hand that reached out to cup Narutos frowning face in reassurance before gently petting his cheek was like a hammer being smashed into the egg as hard as it could

"You can tell me anything you know, I won't judge you Naruto"

He wasn't cracking any more
He was cracked as of this moment

"You kissed me when you where drunk!"
