It seemed to be a pretty normal Monday but I forgot it's not just a normal Monday it's a Spring Break Monday. Although Jules and I won't be getting to spend much time with the guys after hearing that they're getting prepared for a new season of football in Texas, football is a big thing almost everything about Texas is about football and every school year there are two seasons of football the beginning of the school year and the end. Texas starts spring break on the last week of February it's usually hot on the last week of that month and that's why we officially call the last week of February our spring break it gives us more time for another football season, the football players get their rest but the cheerleaders never do, every sport they cheer in well most sports we cheer in and it's all year long.
"Jules I don't think I could make it for your family dinner, I appreciate it but I'm taking my 15 year old sister at the outlet" I spoke to her through the phone
"Oh it's alright, thanks for telling me and are you sure it ain't about Lance?" She grew to be suspicious
"No well we gotta go it's gonna be traffic bye" I ended the call
If Lance is trying to avoid me then okay, I'll avoid his disrespectful ass for not talking to me about it first and besides he was the first one to shove his lips on mine so I'm the one who should be upset with him for avoiding me after what devious things he did.
Jules probably thinks that I'm actually ditching her dinner invitation for some made up excuse about bringing my 15 year old sister shopping, but I'm not my sister's been groaning about how these girls in her class won't shut up about how she's an outfit repeater, I hardly see my sister around school. She's a freshman and I'm a junior and there's a hall for each grade and my hall is a hall away from the freshman's it's a school thing so they make it easy for the freshmeats to get to their classes in time.
"Hurry up Monza" I called her by her nickname
"Okay new rule don't call me Monza at the mall or in public places, there could be cute guys Ken and I could just get my chance" She spread lip gloss all over her lips it glistened bright against my eyes how girly did she get?
"Yeah whatever your queen" I rolled my eyes
It was always an awkward silence when I drive someone I hit the radio button on and it was blasted on a very high volume that had me swerve off the road and into a ditch. Mackenzie and I stared at each other for awhile and we laughed it out instead of freaking out
"Hey Ken I'm sorry I'm a bitch it's just I don't know how to be one and this girls just on my ass 24/7 and ugh" She groaned her facial expression making me laugh
"Yeah no worries just ask for my help and I'll be there for you" I nodded with a smile
I noticed that there were a few unknown cars parked in our driveway, it looks familiar but I don't know to whom the cars belong to I ignored thinking it was one of moms rich friends who decided to come by and say hey with loads of gifts from the cartier jewelry store.
We carried our shopping bags inside and the first thing I saw was Lance.
"Oh My God" Mackenzie and I whispered shocked I told her about the Lance situation and she told me I had. right to be upset, my sister supported me on this one
"Oh hey my beautiful babies" My mom hugged
Mom moved aside and I saw my dad, our dad. We dropped the bags and ran to go hug him, it felt like we haven't seen him in forever.
"It felt like a whole decade I didn't see you" I hugged holding back the tears
"Oh my baby girls have grown up so fast, you've only been gone for a few months" He kissed our foreheads
After setting our shopping bags in our rooms I played nice with Lance I didn't have to think about it I just did it, even if he's a selfish ignorant retard I'll do it- his parents are here and so are mine and this is the only time I get to see my dad because he's a workaholic and I understand he's working his ass off for us and I'm perfectly fine with his workaholic disability, but sometimes it comes between family and it's work over us....
"Hey hun come sit next to Lance" My mom nodded
"I- uh- do i- yeah- coming" I stuttered
Inside my mind I'm annoyed but in the outside I'm smiling because I'm sitting next to Lance.
In the middle of eating dessert- crepes, strawberry banana nutella, I'm starting to like our chef I might just have these for breakfast tomorrow! I was smiling not because I was sitting next to Lance or Jules because I was eating the most delicious crepes I've ever tasted in forever, and our last chef didn't really knew what crepes were....
"You and Lance are a cute couple" My dad sliced the crepes in half for this is is second one
I choked on a strawberry, I started coughing "No dad" I smiled with an irritated face
"What do you mean?" My mom raised her voice
"We - are - not - a thing" I spoke every word with a pause
"Oh I'm sorry dear you just look happy sitting next to him" My dad wiped his mouth with a napkin
"Yeah that's the reason why I'm happy" I spoke in sarcasm
"Oh okay guys! So lets talk about sports" Jules cut off Lance by talking over him, he didn't speak but his mouth opened
"When Kendall was a little girl her and her older brother played ball, all kinds of it and I'd come home and they're either outside still playing or biking around the neighborhood" My dad told the story I never forgot about
"Brother? Older Brother? Where is he at?" Lance asked eating like he hasn't eaten in days
"He's at war" Mackenzie wiped her mouth
"It's hard for Kendall, she's overprotective about her brother and it's usually the other way around and it was-" My dad didn't finish the sentence
"My other older brother died at war- Draco (dr • ay • co) and Peter went to join the army to get revenge for Draco's death and I don't want to lose another brother" I finished the sentence I thought I would never get to.
I'm not okay with talking about my older brothers death and Peter he's fighting for the country but that's also suicide and I don't want to lose Peter, not him too. I lost too many people in my heart and I'm afraid to lose another, Peter's got to come home for good it's been way too long. He calls but I just tell my mom to tell him I said hey because if I talk to him for awhile I'll start to tear up and tell him to come home and he'll say soon but not now, that was in New York and I don't know if he's still even alive.
We all said our farewells and Lance and I had a little face to face meet up it's awkward.
"Hey I know you're ma-"
"See you" I waved walking back inside
"Bye Jules" I hugged her ignoring Lance's effort of saying he's sorry and he won't do it again but from what I have seen he'll break it
