Chapter 20: Confessions?
"Kanao san! Where did you go?"
Back at the Diamond Kingdom, things are getting a bit more busy. Soldiers everywhere running around the town warming up for tonight. Blacksmiths from different shops and Kingdoms came together to forge a much better weapon rather than the ordinary sword. A katana which is the most sharpest and strongest sword at least according to history.
But there are some who's just involved in a small way like treating people's injuries and help them cope with the destruction and loss. There are also some who is just not contributing into the preparation phase at all. Such as two particular young girls. One wanders around calling the others name whilst the other being in hiding.
"Ne Kanao? What are you doing in there?" Kanae came to see her younger sister hiding in one of the carts
"Shh, don't tell her I'm here nee san." Kanao plead her sister
"Tell who? Is someone chasing after you?" Kanae was confused
"Kanao san! Where are you? I just wanted to talk about it!" Suddenly, the very familiar voice was heard nearby and Kanao cover herself up more to hide
"Oh, it's her. Well isn't she friendly?"
"Nee san. Please?"
"Is she your friend?" Kanae asked her
"Yes but-"
"Then come on now. You don't want to let your friend be like that now wouldn't you?"
Kanae forcefully but gently pulled her little sister out of the carts. Kanao was shocked and wanted to run but Kanae had her hand gripped her wrist firmly. She was (un)fortunately dragged over to where Nezuko was and the moment Nezuko had her eyes on her, her face was filled with excitement once more.
"There you are. Oh, hello there!" Nezuko cheerfully greeted them
"Hello there young girl. Are you perhaps looking for my little sister here?"
"Oh, she is your sister. Then you must be her older sister. My name is Kamado Nezuko. It was nice to meet you again." Nezuko bowed
"Ara? We've already met before right? I'm Kanae Kocho. My sister Shinobu is the queen you see." Kanae smiled at her
"Yeah, you're from the Spade Kingdom."
"So, why are you looking for my sister?" Kanae was curious
"Nee san." Kanao wailed
"Is it alright with you Kanao san?" Nezuko politely asked with a grin on her face
"No, please don't." Kanao was flustered
"Ara Kanao? You don't usually get this flustered. Mind telling me what's going on?" Kanae was intrigued
"I was talking to her about my onii chan. Especially what makes him special to her." Nezuko teased her
"Oh my. So you do have a feeling for him huh?" Kanae wasn't surprised by this
"Please stop." Kanao pleaded
"So, why him? What made you fall for him hmm~ Kanao san?" Nezuko pushed on
"Come on Kanao. Just tell us. I wanted to know as well." Kanae adds
As the three of them were discussing something private, they didn't realize that they are standing in the middle of a busy roads where people and soldiers around them can hear them very clearly. Kanao quickly looked around and saw an alleyway not far from where they're standing. She grabs both their hands and pulled them along into the said alleyway.
